Famous for: Being the only son and second child of celebrity couple, actors Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe.
Siblings: Older sister, Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, 8.
Name meaning: Named after a distant relative of Ryan’s, Pittsburgh pitcher, Deacon Phillippe (whose real name is not Deacon, but rather a nickname – Reese and Ryan only found this out after they had named their son). Reese comes from mom’s own middle name which is grandma’s maiden name. The family calls him ‘D.’

Trivia: He has already starred in two movies. Reese was pregnant with him when she played a pregnant Becky Sharp in Vanity Fair and was a few months pregnant during the filming of Legally Blonde 2.
Nanny: Celebrity nanny Marva was hired by Reese for the 6 weeks following Deacon’s birth — other celebrities to have use Marva include Sheryl Crow, Julia Roberts and Courteney Cox-Arquette. They now just use a babysitter when needed. She has been photographed out with the children before. Generally however, Reese and Ryan try to take turns working and the other cares for the children.

Deacon’s birth was apparently so anticipated that his sister Ava, was "dreamy" about his arrival.
Deacon apparently has a short temper – on Conan last year Reese told a story about how Deacon threw a truck across the room when she told him she had to leave to go to the show. Ava then told him sternly that "Mommy has to go to work, so she can earn money, so you can keep your pillow and your blanket."
He is apparently a real charmer – one day he said to mom, Reese, "Oh mama, you have such beautiful eyes!!"
He thinks his mom is gorgeous — when she came downstairs ready to go out to an awards show, Deacon exclaimed, "Beautiful dress"!
Deacon asked Reese what his penis was and Reese wasn’t sure how to reply. So in a manly way, Ryan took Deacon into the other room and explained it to him. The next morning, Deacon excitedly told Reese that he has a "pee-pee"!
Ryan taught Deacon to crawl by putting the remote control for the TV in front of him and telling him "Come on, Deacon"!

Aren’t these kids and their parents, just the cutest? I love how Ava explained why their mommy had to go to work…”So you can keep your pillow and blanket”…that is the most precious thing!

What a cutie! I had hoped that Ryan and Reese would have worked things out and stayed a family, but they seem to have made it work. They are both very involved in their kids lives. They have made it work. Good for them.

Oh my, he’s already 4!!It seems like yesterday CBB posted about his 3rd birthday! He’s a very, very cute boy, I simply love his hair tone, I would only let it grow a bit longer so it could be better seen ahahah.
