"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Princess Ariane of the Netherlands baptized in the Hague

Princess Ariane Wilhelmina Maxima Ines of the Netherlands, 6 months, was baptized on October 20 in the Abbey Church in the Hague. Her godparents are Valeria Delger, Ines Zorreguita, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg, Tijo Baron Collot d’Escury and Anton Friling.

Wearing the christening gown of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands from 1880, she arrived at the church in the arms of her mother, Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, 36. Also present were her father, Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, 40, and sisters Princess Catharina-Amalia, 3 1/2, and Princess Alexia, 2 1/2.

That gown is gorgeous!! And I love her name…all of it! :)

  2. ChristineM Says:

Just a minor correction but it is HEREDITARY Grand Duke Guillaume is the godfather he is not Grand Duke until his father dies or abdicates.
The service was so sweet the chidren stayed out with nannies for half then all paraded into the church and sat on the steps around the font. Ariane was carried into the church in the arms of her aunt Ines Zorreguita who is also a godmother. All the godparents made wishes for Ariane’s future.
The children were cute but quite cheeky lol. They ran around.Claus-Casimir was worst (in a sweet way) he was throwing cushions and screaming accidentally knocking over his little sister several times!

Absolutely adorable! I’ve said it before, I feel for the Prince lol…that many beautiful daughters. That gown is absolutely beautiful. The other two were baptized in the same gown right?

  4. Campbell Says:

ChristineM~~ I love the commentary!! It puts a REAL spin on the “so beautiful they can”t be real” photos! Just shows that royal or no, children are children. That is such a cute story of what actually happened to go along w/ the amazing photos. Ariane truly looks like an angel, and THAT gown… wow.

  5. ChristineM Says:

Campbell you are so welcome. I watched the arrival and service live online (didn’t understand a word) but the music was lovely. The children are so sweet
