A peek inside Josselyn Hess’ nursery
Dancing With the Stars co-host Samantha Harris, 33, welcomed daughter Josselyn Sydney back in September, but she and husband Michael Hess had not found out the sex prior to the delivery. Five weeks later, a peek into the recently completed nursery at the Hess househeld shows that The couple is definitely parents to a daughter!
Click below to check out the nursery details, and for photos of Josselyn.
I love pink and chocolate together. I think it’s a more sophisticated and modern take on traditional baby colors. I think it’s modern with a vintage edge and I couldn’t be happier with it.
(We love Samantha and Michael’s initials ‘carved’ into the tree!)

(The crib is a Chelsea sleigh crib in buttermilk by Bratt Decor ($1320). The bedding set is Caden Lane’s Taylor collection ($450). On the floor is a fuchsia perky dots area rug from The Rug Market ($338).)
It’s fun to have a crown for my little princess.

(The dresser is a Chelsea double dresser in buttermilk ($1738), frames include chocolate sprinkles in rose, flower frame ($32), heart rose frame, and sisters frame, and the changing pad cover is by Caden Lane ($20).)
[The Moses basket has] been great for bringing Josselyn into every room I’m in.

(On the floor is a pink candy stripes Moses basket by Clairebella ($200), on the chair is a Moncalin cat in pink/chocolate ($63), and a ruffle stroller blanket in pink stripe ($40).)

Holy Batman- this woman is making the rest of us look bad!!! I can’t figure out how she does it all- She went back to work after only three weeks (or was it only 2 weeks??)she manages to be able to leave her baby for 36 hours while she jets across the country, while also leaving enough PUMPED milk for all of her baby’s feeds, probably about 6 feeds a day plus 2 overnight feeds (that’s possibly about 24 bottles)and she still has time to organise a custom designed fully decked out nursery????
Jeepers, i’m lucky if I get to brush my teeth and even luckier if I get to sit on the toilet ALONE!
Sarah’s note: She’s been open about her amazing husband and their great baby nurse — I’m sure that’s a lot of it!

She is adorable!! So much hair… I love it
I’ve always loved blue and chocolate brown together as well as pink and chocolate brown. Something so classy (and sophisticated!) about those combinations.
On a side note… how is Josselyn pronounced? Is it Joss-lyn or Joss-i-lyn? Or something different!?

Very cute baby, and beautiful nursery

I think Josselyn is a non-traditional spelling of the name Jocelyn. I would imagine they want to call her “Joss” as a nickname. I’ve seen several baby announcements with some form of Joss in it since Joss Stone (whose real name, by the way, is Joscelyn Eve Stoker) has come on the music scene. It’s usually pronounced JOSS-sa-lyn – three syllables – and was originally a boy’s name (Jocelyn, with Joss being its nickname, as well as the nickname for Joseph.)

the nursery is beautiful! i especially love the tree and the crown (though i don’t think i would pay $450 for sheets for an infant, even if i did have the money to do so)!
i am surprised to see how girly it looks, especially since they didn’t know beforehand that the baby was a girl. i wonder if they were able to pull that all together in between the time samantha delivered and came home, or if it was worked on after baby josselyn came home…?
i’m curious too about the pronunciation of the name josselyn–
is it two syllables (JOSS-lynn) or three (joss-UH-lynn)?

The nursery is cute as is the baby, but holy smokes, I’ve seen more pictures of this baby than some of my friends’ babies. Not to sound mean or anything, but shouldn’t she be concentrating on her baby as opposed to all these photo shoots and everything else? It just feels to me like she’s pushing for more press and is using her daughter to get it. It’s a bit much for a five week old, sometimes these photo shoots can take a long time…Just my opinion, to each their own.

Do you know who makes the glider chair?

So much pretty in this post! Pretty mama, baby, and nursery! I LOVE the chcolate brown and pink together. My husband and I are redoing our son’s room currently now that he is getting a little bit older, and we’re doing shades of blue, chocolate brown, and black.

I thought her nursery was great when I saw it on either E! News or Top Ten. I think it might’ve been E! But anyway, the room is adorable, and the first and last photo of Sam and Joss are too sweet for words.

OMG I love that room!!!! I want her to decorate my future baby’s room!

Wow, her baby room is cheek yet stylish. I love the modern twist that was implemented using Caden Lanes bedding. It is the de creme de le creme of baby crib bedding. Thumbs up it’s beautiful.

Josselyn can be pronounced with 2 or 3 syllables. It depends on the person’s preference. My name is spelled Jocelyn and I say it with 2 syllables but I respond to Joce-uh-lyn as well.

I love the bedding by Caden Lane it is perfect for a little princess! By the way those three funky monogrammed burp cloths in the photo of the changing table are by Baby JaR. They have so many great designs and they are the best I have found!
