"My baby self weaned despite me trying to keep up the nursing! I find it so refreshing to hear Gwen talk about how hard she works to lose weight and keep herself in top shape. She looks great and has a beautiful family."

“I sit there and play princesses with my daughter, and I never told her anything about a princess, ever. Whereas I go to my brother’s house, and he’s got two boys…I walk in the front door, and I instantly get punched in the nuts.”

CBB in BusinessWeek

Businessweek_logoFinally! A press mention my father-in-law will be proud of!  The Celebrity Baby Blog is mentioned in the latest issue of BusinessWeek and on their website in reference to the calibre of advertising we bring in.

Google’s (GOOG) AdSense–which uses an algorithm to pop relevant ads next to onlinecontent–is creating a new career: the AdSensarian. Everyday Webmastersare using AdSense to turn online passions into revenue streams…

Another AdSensarian is Danielle Friedland. After watching theGolden Globe awards in January [2004], Friedland realized she knew too muchabout pregnant celebrities to keep it to herself. Today her celebrity-babies.com gets ads from the likes of McDonald’s (MCD) and Eastman Kodak (EK). Friedland now has a staff and appears regularly on TV.

I’d like to clarify two things.  The first is that the site was actually started in January 2004, not January 2007 as this article seems to say.  I’m flattered by the assumption but you don’t get this big that fast.  The other is that while we do run Google AdSense ads on CBB, the McDonald’s and Eastman Kodak ads were actually deals negotiated and run through Federated Media, my ad sales team. Currently, through them, I have ads from JC Penney and Children’s Motrin.  If you’re interested in advertising in one of these premium ad spots, email me for a special limited time deal.
