Josh Duhamel says he and Fergie will have children ‘when it’s right’
Josh Duhamel has babies on the brain. At work, on the set of NBCs Las Vegas, he currently plays an expectant father. And at home, he’s surrounded by friends who are starting families of their own. The 34-year-old actor, who has been dating Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson since 2004, admits that — at times — he is jealous.
I’ve got a lot of friends with kids. Two of my friends have three kids. They all have kids except for me—so I got to get on the horse! I don’t know. [I feel a little bit] jealous [of my friends]. But I’m taking my time. We’ll do it when it’s right. It’s busy right now for me and my girl. It will happen.
As with most things, Josh is approaching his portrayal a first-time dad-to-be with a healthy dose of humor. The actor said he likes to give actress Molly Sims, who plays Josh’s pregnant girlfriend on the show, "a little punch in the stomach…it usually shocks people, but it’s just a big cushion thing."
Playing a dad-to-be has been fun for me because you get a chance to learn what any sort of guy goes through when he’s expecting. I’ve never been through that and it’s sort of dawned on me as I go — wait, that probably would happen. Maybe she would take it as you not being sexually attracted to her when in fact, maybe you’re just worried that you’re going to hurt the baby…And you realize you can’t hurt the baby. You’ve just got to do it doggie style. NO!

Considering that Fergie is really 37+ you would think that babies would be on her mind more.

Fergie isn’t 37, she turned 32 in march and was born in 1975. Anyway they are a cute couple, and I’m sure will be good parents, and have an adorable baby.

Actually, although Fergie looks older, shes only 32 (born March 27, 1975).

I agree Lea. Like Paul Abdul saying at age 45 that she will want to start having babies sometime in the next coupld of years!
Unfortunately fertility isn’t forever.
oh, and I really know he didn’t mean it that way but, pretending to kick or hit a pregnant woman in the stomach is not at all funny to me.
Abuse isn’t something to laugh at.

Wow, I didn’t realize she was inly 32! She looks so much older. Maybe it’s all the makeup or the past addiction the Meth…

Actually Fergie is really that old because she used to be on an old kids show when I was little. She does lie about her age. It is proven.
