Jennifer Garner savors spotlight — for fifteen minutes
Her debut on Broadway last night was a critical success, but you won’t find Jennifer Garner lapping up the attention for too long. Shortly after arriving at the opening night party for the production Cyrano de Bergerac, in which she stars alongside Kevin Kline, Jennifer reminded reporters that her ‘other’ job as mother to 23-month-old Violet takes precedence.
You know, I’m a mom. So I’ll be here for about 15 more minutes, and then I’m going home.
Violet is the first child for Jennifer and her husband, actor Ben Affleck.

I really do like her outlook on parenting, it’s nice to see a mom that wants to leave a party to be with her munchkin
Don’t get me wrong, every mom deserves time away lol, it’s just refreshing to see it in her world.

I thought she sounded a bit over-the-top. When I was a kid, most parents had no problem going out for an evening and leaving the kids with a babysitter. The parents had a good time with other adults and the kids got to do fun projects with the babysitter and have pizza for dinner. The current fashion for parents being crazy-glued to their kids doesn’t seem healthy for anyone. I feel sorry for all the stressed-out parents who worry that they’re being negligent if they don’t keep an eye on the kids every minute, but I feel even more sorry for the kids who now have the responsiblity of entertaining their parents every waking minute of every day.

Not meaning to be nit-picky, but I believe Violet just turned 23 months old this past Thursday.

Good for her. She is a breath of fresh air. Violet, the most adorable celebrity child, is one lucky little girl.

I think a lot of celeb moms and dads make time with their kids a priority. They do their thing and then they leave..maybe early, but they just don’t give a reason. They don’t go on and on about being a mom.
