Nicole Richie and Joel Madden talk to OK! Magazine while in Australia
Reality star Nicole Richie, 26, and rocker boyfriend, Joel Madden, 28, spoke to Australian OK! Magazine while in Australia earlier this month for a series of Good Charlotte concerts. The couple talk about where their first child was conceived, the possibility of getting a home in Australia, preparing for the baby and when they will marry. Their first child is due in early January — they are not finding out the sex.
The couple expressed their love of Australia and desire to get a second home here — their current main residence is in LA.
We love Australia. Everyone welcomes us with open arms and makes us feel at home. We are even thinking about having a second home here.
The couple also mention that their last visit here was in April of this year. Joel alludes to the possibility that perhaps their baby was conceived on Australian shores.
When you think about what goes into conceiving a baby, that’s a pretty personal question! Only a scientist can tell…but there is a very good possibility that it was [conceived in Australia].
Nicole said that she couldn’t be happier with her life at the moment.
I’m in a really good place. I really couldn’t be any happier.
Joel said that they are excited to get married and have perhaps already thought about when and where.
I am in love with her. I want to get married. This is the best thing that’s ever happened to us!

They look so happy. She seems happier away from Paris and being and doing her own thing. I’m so glad she got her life together. Its going to be beautiful baby!!!!
