Cate Blanchett confirms third pregnancy
Last week we reported on rumors that Cate Blanchett might be sporting a baby bump — and last night in Sydney the Australian actress confirmed it. While on the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Cate, 38, was asked if she was expecting and if the rumors were true that it was another boy. She confirmed the pregnancy, but is only four months along and does not yet know the sex.
Yes, I am … You know more than me. It’s early days yet. It’s due in April.
This will be the third child for Cate and her husband Andrew Upton. The couple have two sons — Dashiell John, 5 1/2, and Roman Robert, 3 1/2.
There is also some video footage of the red carpet arrivals, featuring Cate announcing her pregnancy.

Yay I love Cate. She’s a wonderful actress. She’s due the month before I am and I have two sons also. I guessed she would be due in April comparing her belly to mine.

Congrats!! Another Baby Blanchett-Upton on the way. Maybe they will add a girl to the brood this time, but it still would be wonderful if it was another boy. I wish Cate and Andrew on a healthy pregnancy.

Not surprising! She was looking very pregnant and wearing some interesting camouflage ensembles on the red carpet lately. I love Cate and am really excited to see her pregnant at the Oscar’s this year

Perfect timing career wise since they will be in Syndey all next year while they take over creative directors of the Sydney theatre.
