Jason Gerhardt excited about upcoming birth of son
General Hospital actor Jason Gerhardt and his wife Chalae are expecting their second child, a son, in December, and he couldn’t be more excited.
I’m so excited. Chalae’s feeling great, but she’s so ready to get that baby out. She’s practically jumping up and down trying to get him to come out.
When Jason joined General Hospital, his castmates were pretty shocked to learn that he was married and had a daughter, Madysen, now 2.
Even people on set were shocked. When they found out I was married, they were like, “What?” Then they found out I have a baby and they were like, “Huh?” And now another on the way? It doesn’t quite compute [laughs]. I just tell people we’re a young, married couple who had babies really young.

I haven’t been able to find his birth year anywhere, but I saw on a couple places that he was born on April 21st. A lot of sites listed his birthdate as “unknown”, so who knows! Apparently, he and his wife have been married for 7 years, and dated for 1 year before that.

Heh, I had the same reactions as his co-workers when I heard he was married and expecting his second child. He just looks so young.

He is such a cutie.
When he first started on GH, I remember his age being listed somewhere as early 30s. Definitely older than he looks.

I love Jason on GH!
I, too, had the same reaction as his castmates when I found out he was married and had a 2-year-old daughter, with a son on the way. He looks so young for his age!

hmm so if he started in his early 30’s he’d be what? 35ish now? I find it funny that if he is in fact 35 he’s saying “we had kids really young” cause that’s not That young!

Jason Lee Gerhardt was born on April 21, 1974 in Austin, Minnesota to Ronald and Vicki Gerhardt. Therefore, he is 33 years old. His wife, Chalae Gerhardt is 32 years old. They both look very young for their ages but not too young for parenthood.

wow, he definitely looks young for his age. i would have said he looked like he was in his late 20’s at the most.
