Angelina Jolie says kids can see Beowulf ‘when they’re older’

Tags: Dads, News, Quotes

Many things are cool in the Jolie-Pitt household these days, but watching an animated, gold-painted (but nude) killer-lizard ‘mommy’ slink across the big screen is most definitely not.  According to Angelina Jolie, the four children she shares with actor Brad PittMaddox, 6, Pax, turning 4-years-old this month, Zahara, 2 1/2 and Shiloh, 17-months — are free to watch her new film Beowulf "when they’re older," but for the time being, the movie is off-limits.

I think it’s too much. I don’t think they should see their mom that way. Like, I don’t wear nightgowns like that in the house. I’ve got boys in my house. You don’t do that as a mom.

In fact, Angelina says that the kids are relatively indifferent to all her films because "your own kids don’t find you very cool."

For Halloween, Angelina said that Maddox dressed as Boba Fett, Pax as a monkey, Zahara as a bunny and Shiloh as a bunny/monkey hybrid the family affectionately deemed a ‘bunkey.’  Angelina dressed as Curious George, while Brad was a Stormtrooper.  Although as a child she developed a fondness for Vlad the Impaler, Angelina’s kids have decidedly more traditional interests at the moment.

We’re still very young in my house.  We’ve been into dinosaurs, and now we’re crossing over into dragons and knights and things.

Shooting her latest film, the kidnapping drama The Changeling, has been emotionally draining for the award-winning actress.  As a mom, Angelina said, "the kidnapping of a child is the last thing I want to think about."

It’s very emotional. Every day I’m crying. I don’t know who’s going to want to see me crying in every scene.

What an adorable family. that is too cute that they gave Shiloh the name ‘bunkey’. I laughed out loud when I read that. Such a sweet family.

  2. FC Says:

LMAO, I bet Shi was a cute little bunkey! The entire family sounded cute. I would’ve loved to have seen them in full costume, especially Mr. Storm Trooper himself…lol.

  3. Heather Says:

Bunkey? I love it! Its nice to hear that a famiy in the Hollywood spotlight can have fun on Halloween and limits their kids to what can be watched on tv like ‘normal’ families. I love hearing about the Jolie-Pitts. They seem very sweet and loving from their interviews and photo spreads.

  4. Nausicaa Says:

WHERE ARE THE PICTURES??? I want to see pictures of the Jolie-Pitts in their Halloween costumes!! Angelina as Curious George!? That I got to see! Bunky!? Just the word alone is cuteness overload! Where’s the paps when you need them!?
