"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Faith Hill talks about why Christmas is special for her family

Tags: Dads, News, Quotes

For Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, their daughters Gracie, 10, Maggie, 9, and Audrey, 5 — and millions of families worldwide — Christmas is all about tradition.  For the Hill-McGraw clan, however, that tradition is also intermingled with the bittersweet birth of Audrey in 2001; Born 8 weeks prematurely on Dec. 6, Audrey spent much of December in the hospital, and was ultimately discharged the day before Christmas Eve.  Says Faith,

This time of year just feels extra special to us. And now, every year, to celebrate Audrey’s birthday, we decorate the tree on the sixth…and it has to be a live tree.

Faith says that this year she hopes to be more prepared when it comes to the seemingly nonstop rigors of cooking that can accompany the holidays.  Her own mother would prepare meals days and weeks ahead of time, Faith said.

I’ll try to plan it out better. Because not doing it is not an option. I think I’m a lot like moms out there who feel like if we don’t have the pecan pie we have every year, then it just won’t be Christmas.

Faith also revealed that Tim writes personalized notes for the girls at Christmas-time, and that the family leaves food for Santa’s reindeer each year.

My son was born last year 8 weeks early due 10th Nov, born 15th Sept and he spent nearly 4 weeks in hospital also. It is a tough time, so long and the hospital isn’t your friend, glad to see the back of it when you leave! I had no idea Faith and Tim had a little premmy.
