Kelly Rutherford content with being an older mother
It may seem like Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford, 39, waited a long time to have children, but she had it all planned. Kelly and husband Daniel Giersch have son Hermès Gustaf Daniel, 1.
I think a lot of us wait. We have our careers, and then we say ‘OK, I’ve got this window of time, and like Halle [Berry], you grab a young man and you have a child. Like Mira Sorvino. ‘You’re it, let’s go.’ We want our babies. We want to have that experience.
Because she doesn’t have to worry about her career, Kelly is a very devoted mother.
My husband and I haven’t had too much help. We’ve been very hands-on. I didn’t wait this long to hand my baby over to a nanny. We stroll, we walk, I’m up at night with him. That’s part of it, really being present.
She doesn’t need anything else to entertain her but Hermès.
Being with my son and watching him play is relaxing for me.
Are there more children planned for the couple?
Yes! Like right now, I’m going home. Ha ha ha. I’m going to have more children tonight.

Hmm, if I was Halle Barry or Mira Sorvino and read that paragraph, I’d be a little irked. I know what she is trying to say, but in my opinion it came out all wrong. Regardless, she seems like a dedicated mother and her little boy is a cutie.

I don’t see the problem with what she said. It’s true and more non famous women are also doing the same thing.

I agree, Madison. It makes it sound like Mira Sorvino and Halle Berry are only with their husband/bf so they could get pregnant. It’s a little tacky to refer to other celebs like that, but I agree with the other stuff she said.
