Philip Seymour Hoffman welcomes a daughter, says children are ‘a revelation’
In better-a-year-late-than-never news, actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, 40, and longtime girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell welcomed daughter Talluhlah last November. He tells People that he’s enjoying her latest milestones.
She’s now smiling, standing up. I was there when thathappened. I came back and she was standing!
Still, it’s tough for the actor to be away from his kids — however, he wouldn’t trade parenthood or change anything about his situation.
It’shard for anybody who works a lot and has children. But Iwouldn’t trade it for anything. When you become a parent, you look atyour parents differently. You look at being a child differently. It’san awakening, a revelation that you have.
Talluhlah joins big brother Cooper Alexander, 4 1/2. The pregnancy was announced in June 2006.

Oh, thats a strange spelling of Talluhlah, they’ve added a ‘h’ in between the ‘u’ and ‘l’. Still a cute name, though.

Belated congratulations to them! This is wonderful news to hear that they had a healthy baby girl. A few weeks ago, someone claimed that Mimi had lost the baby late in the pregnancy. Wow, I’m so glad that person was wrong!

Great news! I too had heard rumours that they had lost the baby, so nice to hear that they were just rumours after all! Doesn’t this just go to show that it is possible for celebs to keep their kids out of the public eye if they really want too? Lol.
