"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Trisha Yearwood talks about ‘earning her way’ as a stepmom

Marrying Garth Brooks and becoming a stepmother wasn’t an instant, or easy, transformation for Trisha Yearwood.  The country singer admits that at first, she wasn’t sure what to do or how to be around Garth’s daughters — Taylor Mayne, 15, August Anna, 13, and Allie Colleen. 11.  The couple split visitation with Garth’s ex-wife Sandy Mahl, and had the kids every other day until 6 p.m.  Said Trisha,

I would be sitting there thinking, ‘What do we do until 6 o’clock? I don’t know what to do with children.’

However, those feelings didn’t last long for the 43-year-old, who says she now thinks of herself as a "Bonus Mom" for the girls.

It became, ‘Okay, I’m still scared, but it’s not as bad,’ and then it became, ‘I love having them all the time.’ You fall in love with them. You learn why people have kids.

Trisha added that each of the kids have "distinctively different personalities."

We’ve all got a different relationship, and we just kind of [take it] day by day…I sort of earned my way, and I continue to earn my way, with each of them.

Trisha and Garth were married in 2005.
