Shooter Jennings prepared for fatherhood
Country singer Shooter Jennings, 28, can’t wait to become a father when girlfriend Drea de Matteo, 35, gives birth to their first child, a girl, in early December.
I can’t tell you how ready and excited I am. I think I’m more ready than Drea is. It’s going to be a little girl and already I’m wrapped around her finger, man.
Shooter has no concerns that Drea won’t make a good mother and he feels pretty confident that he will be a great father.
Every time I’m with Drea and we go to a family Thanksgiving or something, I always end up in the basement, playing with the little kids, running around in circles, while all the adults are upstairs. And Drea is going to be such a good mother.
Shooter is a celebrity baby himself — he is the son of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. He and Drea’s daughter is due December 5th.

I read that she is having a girl and wants to name her Alabama.
As her mom said during her shower, in the toast ” to Alabama’s mother!!”

I love Shooter as a musical artist and she was great on the Sopranos so I can’t wait to see this little one!
