As a teacher, I see lots of name “trends.” This year’s Kindergarten class at my school has 5 – yes, in one class – Easton’s – all girls. Last year’s class had 3 boys with the same name. Seems every year there is an “unusual name” trend – 2nd grade is full of Braden/Brayden/Braydin – 3rd has all the Ava/Ella’s – and 4th is full of (6 and 7 respectively) Austin’s and Madisons. As far as Easton, I found it odd when it was posted not too long ago that someone else was going to use the name. I used to work with a lady who gave her daughter the middle name of Easton. She chose it because it was her maiden name. When I heard someone else was using it, I wondered if it was in honor of family.

The child’s name is Griffin Thomas – confirmed by the horses mouth himself.
