Heidi Klum’s son receives a happy birthday turkey
Supermodel Heidi Klum, 34, planned on celebrating Thanksgiving a little differently this year. The reason? It was also son Johan’s first birthday.
I’m going to be doing a big turkey with a happy birthday candle on top of the turkey, which I just got at the supermarket. They have those ones where each letter is separate, and they have spikes. It’s going to be sitting on the turkey this year. It’s going to be a funny turkey.
Heidi and her husband, singer Seal, 44, are also parents to daughter Leni, 3 1/2, and son Henry, 2.

My cousin’s 7th Birthday was also yesterday, Thanksgiving. We had the normal thanksgiving dinner and then he opened presents and for desert, we had pumpkin pie AND a birthday cake with pilgrims and a turkey on it. He seemed to love it

My nephew’s third birthday was yesterday as well. His official party is on Saturday but he got some presents before dinner, and one of my aunts made a cake for him and we had candles and sang Happy Birthday for him. He liked it fine.

my birthday actually falls on christmas, and when i was younger, since we weren’t that religious, i would always have a party on christmas eve with family, and on the actual day, i would open birthday presents at 9:30 a.m. since that was the time i was born, and all the christmas gifts had already been opened. we also always have a seperate cake…

My younest’s birthday is tomorrow. It fell on Thanksgiving two years ago, when she turned 2. She got to open her presents from us in the morning, and then we sang Happy Birthday to her when the turkey came out. I had bought cupcakes for my two kids to eat after dinner instead of pie, but they wanted the pie. So, we put a candle in her pie. Then, her “big” party with all the in-laws and aunts and uncles was on Saturday.
We make sure to separate the holiday from her birthday. But since she is (almost) 4, she thinks that it is one big party just for her from Halloween to Christmas.

My daughters 5th birthday was yesterday. We had her party on Tuesday as per her request. We also let her open all her presents yesterday. The best part for her was all the phone calls she got yesterday.

My family is like the king of celebrating birthdays on Thanksgiving.
My brother was born on Thanksgiving (Nov 24), my mother’s birthday is Nov. 28, my great aunt’s is Nov. 30, mine is Dec. 4, my father’s is Dec. 7, and my cousin’s is Dec. 8th so every Thanksgiving instead of pies we each have 6 different kinds of birthday cake.
We take turns opening gifts in between eating Thanksgiving Dinner and watching football. It’s pretty much an all day event.
When we were kids, my brother and I had a double party with our friends some other time.

I was born on Easter Sunday so my birthday falls on easter every 11 years. Most people are good about it but some are lazy and just give me chocolate for my birthday. My nephew was born on Good Friday last year, so I expect he’ll have the same problem.

What a cute idea! Happy birthday to little Johan, and I can’t wait to see his Celebrating Celebrity Baby Birthdays post (I assume you’ll be doing one for him, as you did one each for Leni and Henry on their birthdays this year).
Sarah’s note: We aren’t doing one, unfortunately. Shannon only does them when she has time and she hasn’t lately due to other commitments. She’s in law school and has a new job and needs to focus on that. If she has time to do a baby birthday post, she will, but lately she has not and it’s not priority for the other staff members. Sorry.

Johan is so cute, I was hoping for there to be a birthday thread here for him, like other famous celebrity kids get.

gianna- I was hoping for that as well. I was also really hoping for one on Pax Jolie-Pitt towards the end of next week (his birthday is on November 29), as the Jolie-Pitts are one of my most favorite celebrity families (the Holmes-Cruises are a close second!)…But, judging by Sarah’s comments to my earlier post, it appears that there won’t be one.
That said, however, I completely understand the reasons behind the lack of Celebrating Celebrity Baby Birthday Posts lately, and I will be patient with Shannon.

My youngest has a birthday that falls on usually falls around Thanksgiving. Each year while we’re with the family we throw a big party for her on Black Friday no matter what day her actual birthday falls on. A lot of my family members have birthdays right near Christmas so they make sure to no ignore and birthday just because the holidays are around. The oldest will occasionally have a birthday on Easter but she thinks it’s awesome to have the two on one day.

My son was born exactly 1 week before christmas and what I do is have his party on or around January 10th , as that was his expected due date and that gets us past Christmas Eve Christmas and New Years. On his actual b-day Dec 18th we do a cake at home and give him a few gifts but save the party for around the 10th of January. It has worked out great for us so far. I do feel bad for him as he gets lots of Happy B-day/ Merry Christmas gifts BUT my moms b-day is on Christmas and she remembers going thru that growing up so she makes it a point to keep Birthdays Birthdays and not combine things. Funny actually both of my parents are holiday babies my dad was born Feb 14th.
