I'd say Brooke really knows how to throw a party! It looks beautiful from the pix. And what great gifts too! I have the Svan high chair and scooter, as well as a ton of Vincent shoes and we love them! The furniture is such high quality, and looks great in your home. . . you don't have to sacrifice style for fun or safety. Everyone that comes to the house adores the high chair and scooter. And my youngest has a shoe fetish, so he alternates between 3 or 4 pairs of Vincents every day! I highly recommend both product lines!

I am a huge fan of the Svan products Kim received at her shower (along with some of the Cariboo and lillebaby products as well). As a mother of 4 I have had ample opportunity to try many products out there and I cannot say enough about the Svan High Chair (I have 3 of them). My 5 year old has used his since he was 6 months old. We love the sleek look and functional design (converts to a booster seat and an adult chair) as well as the fact that it is safety certified. The tray can be removed (or stored on the back of the chair) and even a 6 month old can join the family at the dinner table. The chair provides ergonomic support to children from infant and up. Keeping children comfortable at the table helps to keep them focused on their meal and developing conversational skills. The Svan High Chair is also easy to clean. The wood wipes clean with a damp cloth, the plastic tray cover is dishwasher safe and the cushions are machine washable - honestly what could be easier?
As for the scooter - I wish I had three of them. My 5 year old and 3 year old twins fight over this ride on toy - which glides from carpet to hardwoods to tile without a scratch and the unique bentwood design forces children to use their imagination. I also have the Svan mini furniture set - which is perfect for sitting with my little ones to do all sorts of preschool-aged projects.
With the recent arrival of my 4th baby I received a Cariboo Classic Bassinet and a gorgeous pink baby star bag - I love it and so does my little one - its just beautiful (and looks so much better than the pack and play I used with my first son). I also received a EuroTote and this is one product I wonder how I ever survived without. I can carry my baby everywhere with style and so much more comfort than lugging those infant car seat carriers. I love that it can go from home to car seat to stroller or grocery cart or basically any where I need to go and baby stays nestled and comfortable.
I really cannot say enough great things about these product lines - Svan, Cariboo and lillebaby - they make fabulous, well-designed, safe, beautiful products which grow with your children and make your life as a parent easier - what could be better? No wonder Kim wanted to be showered with these wonderful products!

I love Kim and am so excited about her new show that's coming out. I actually have the Svan Bouncer so how cool to have the same product as her! (And I LOVE mine, as does my 5 month old.)

My first thought, when I saw that scooter the other day, was how actually unsafe it looks. Wonder how many bloody lips occur trying to figure out how to enjoy or play with it? !

Ciaran's Note: Safety is Scandinavian Child's number one focus when bringing in a product to the US. They go above and beyond for safety testing on the products and participate on the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) Board of Directors. They are also members of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) which sets safety standards. The scooter meets ASTM F963, a safety standard for ride-on toys. I would feel quite confident allowing my young child to ride on this scooter!

The shower photos are awesome. I absolutely love to throw parties and will be keeping in mind some of these ideas when I throw my next bash. I love the clean containers for the veggies and the circular buffet arrangement.
I received several Svan products when my daughter was born, and I must say, I am not at all impressed by them. I really like how sleek and modern they are, but other than that, I'm not a fan.
For anyone interested, the high chair tray is way too small, especially if I am keeping my DD in there to play for a few minutes. Also, the fabric seat is a huge PITA. Plan on washing it every day once your child starts eating on their own.
The bouncy seat, also great looking, was another let down. The seat did not recline far enough back to keep my DD comfortable. Also, her long legs would kick the wood part of the base, causing some ouchies.
