Jodie Sweetin: ‘I can’t wait to be a mom’

Although she doesn’t have a birth story to share just yet, actress Jodie Sweetin, 25, is clearly excited to have one to tell.  The former Full House star is expecting her first child with husband Cody Herpin, and recently shared her feelings about the pregnancy with the ‘Every Baby Has a Story’ campaign by the March of Dimes.

I’m due April 6, and I’m absolutely thrilled.  I don’t know if its a boy or a girl yet but I’m dying to find out.  When my husband and I found out we were pregnant we were absolutely thrilled and shocked and really excited.  He kept saying, ‘I think you’re pregnant, I think you’re pregnant, you need to take a pregnancy test.’  I took one and was like ‘You’re right!  How did you know?’

From then on its just been really, really exciting.  Each little sonogram picture we have taken…It just grew from just a little dot on the screen to where it’s starting to look like a baby now.  We got to hear the heartbeat, and that’s an amazing, amazing sound.

And I can’t wait!  I can’t wait to be a mom.  The next six months are going to be the biggest adventure of my life, only to be topped off with a beautiful baby.  So I’m so excited, and I’m really excited to be a part of the March of Dimes today.

Marchofdimes_1 Every parent loves to share their birth story, and celebrities are no different.  The March of Dimes recently launched its ‘Every Baby Has A Story’ campaign, where you can also share your own baby story or read some of the 1,175 baby stories that have been posted. ‘Every Baby Has a Story” is a new grassroots and integrated media project celebrating babies, those born healthy as well as those who need help to survive and thrive, launched by the March of Dimes.

  2. Nicole Says:

Maybe this is an old story…if she wants to know, she should have had her US to tell her by now. I have 2 friends at work that are due only two weeks ahead of her and they had their US’s way over a month ago…

Sarah’s note: The recordings at the source link were made at the March of Dimes BabyLOVE event back in late September, so yes it’s old. They just posted the stories on their site recently. She most likely does know what she’s having by now.

  3. Kate Says:

I still can’t believe little Stephanie Tanner is pregnant…. blows my mind!

Looks like she’s overcome a lot in life to get where she is… good for her.

  4. christinajo Says:

Didn’t she say recently that she’s having a girl?

Sarah’s note: This post is from December.

I love Full House and you to. You are so great! You are going to have a baby? Wow good for you!
