Rumor: More details emerge about baby shopping spree for Jennifer Lopez
Add double strollers to the mounting list of evidence that singer Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are expecting twins! The New York Daily News’ Rush & Molloy gossip column reports that the recent shopping spree by Jennifer at Petit Tresor included not only matching boy and girl onesies, but also cashmere outfits ($349) by Baby CZ in both blue and in pink, two Peg Perego double strollers (in toffee and in mint), a double jogging stroller ($560), two moses baskets ($225 each) and Smushy teddy bears with pink and blue ribbons ($65). Jennifer, 38, also reportedly picked out a black Balmoral carriage valued at $3,495 and a $289 suede play mat.
According to the Daily News, the couple has hired the staff at Petit Tresor to decorate the nurseries at their three family homes in California, New York and Florida to the tune of $40,000 for each room; A rep for the store had no comment on the story.

that’s so exciting that she’s expecting twins! but at the same time, you’d think that if celebrities really wanted to keep their pregnancies a bit of a secret, they’d stop shopping at petit tresor. i feel like they’re always blabbing about what celebrities buy there!!

I totally believe she is having girl.biy twins. Before she even confirmed her pregnancy the spanish channels were confirming not only was she pregnant but it was twins, and than last month they confirmed it was a boy/girl. They also confirmed christina was pregnant with a boy, before she herself said anything, and they were right that salm hayek was not only having a girl but na,ing her valentina. I’m so happy for jennifer and marc, I have been fans of their’s for years, and jennifer hadn’t wanted kids for so long, for her to be blessed with a boy and a girl, is awesome. I believe her kids will be dressed great, just look how she always looks so lovely, I expect no different in how she dresses her children.

Congrats to Jen and Marc, but seriously, Petit Tresor is slowly becoming the darling of the tabloids. This store reports everything their customers buy from them to every tabloid they can find to listen. Drea de Matteo said it right, people need to stop shopping there. They have no respect for their customer’s privacy. Whoever is releasing celebrities’ information should be fired. It’s rude and inconsiderate. Personally, I’ll never shop there for baby gear, celebrity or not.

im so glad shes having boy/girl twins! thats so fantastic i mean… Wat else in addition to finally being preggers after a long and exhausting try would ever make ur day even better? having one of each sex in a row! hahaha tats simply fantastic i wish her the best and i hope the best for those babies…for them being born in time and healthy! congrats Jen and Marc! this is the best time of ur lifes for sure

Congrats for being pregnant and possibly having twins, but spending that kind of money for something the children will wear once or twice before they outgrow it, not to mention the stains, is silly.
Give me a 3-5 pack of onesies from a certain favorite store for $10 any day. They are one poopy stain away from the trash and still nice enough to use under something nicer.

Okay, after reading this, I can no longer deny that it is extremely likely that Jennifer and Mark are having boy/girl twins. That said, I wonder why she bought so many strollers! I mean, it says she bought 2 Peg Prego double strollers, one double jogging stroller, and one Balmoral Carriage. Although, maybe she wants to keep at least one stroller at each of their three homes?
Anyway, I hope that the twins aren’t born too early and that they are healthy. I also hope that Jennifer won’t hide them away for several months like Tom and Katie did with Suri and Britney did with Jayden.

I forgot to add….Am I the only who thinks it was very wrong of Petite Tressor to reveal Jennifer and Mark’s purchases to the media (I’m pretty sure they were the ones who told the media what she purchased, since I remember one of the CBB staffers mentioning to me once, in response to a comment, that stores often reveal what celebs have purchased for their babies)?
I mean, as nice as it is to hear about pregnant celebs, do we really need to know what items they’ve purchased for their babies? Anyway, I feel bad for Jennifer, Christina, and other celebs who have had their baby-related purchases revealed to the media.

momma2- I see your point, but keep in mind that what seems like a huge amount of money to us is probably hardly anything to someone like J-Lo. Also, these are her first children, and it seems like she has been wanting kids badly for awhile, so it makes sense that she’s going a little crazy with the baby shopping!

i like jennifer but it kind of bothers me she won’t talk about the pregnancy. i understand ít’s a very personal thing and all that, but it would be nice if celebs would allow their fans, especially when u’ve been popular for as long as these 2 have, to share in it with them a bit more. it sounds bad but c’MOOOOOOOOOOON. we don’t bite. celebs are nothing without us.we paid for those 40 grand nurseries!!!!

Makes a person sick when you see ppl spending $3,495 on a carriage. Who does not want the best for their kids, I think she is going overboard babies grow out of things like that all the time chances are those kids will ride in that carriage a handfull of times and that will be with the nannys, they wont care how much the carriage cost and neither will the babies!

I have to agree with momma2. I understand that she wants to go all out, but wow. If I suddenly became a millionaire, I’d still shop at Target. I guess I’m just not a fancy pants gal..lol!
Honestly, I dont think celebs need to give the media and fans their baby and family photos if they dont want to. Why some people act like they NEED to see these pics is beyond me, but that’s just me.
Regarding a comment above, unfortunately, some fans do go a little off the deep end regarding invading celeb privacy, thats why some like to keep their kids hidden, and I dont blame them one bit. I dont consider my buying movie tickets and such a free pass to see their kids because we apparently “payed for their 40 grand nurseries.”

I disagree with the post above. No matter how much we paid towards buying her cd’s we don’t own rights to control her life. I respect her wanting to keep her family life private, it’s good to protect the little one!

I don’t think she needs to talk about her pregnancy.It’s a private matter and it’s not work. You have to remember that she suffered a lot when she told every detail of her private life to the press. She was all over the tabloids. She been trying to live a low key life since then. I don’t blame her for wanting to enjoy her pregnancy privately with her friend and family.
Eventually I’m sure she will share some details, but for now I think she should be allowed to have that privacy.

When I had my first (and only) baby, after four years of trying, I went crazy baby shopping. We bought two strollers, plus had a couple given to us. I think we had four strollers at one point! And if I had three homes, I would def. have at least one for each!
So I can see why she bought so many strollers.

Well, it fits with the twin rumors and how big she is for being due in the spring. It’d be nice if she had one of each, a boy and a girl. Would still love to see them both when they’re born.

The spending WAY crosses over into the obscene. I don’t care if you make $20,000 a year or $20,000,000.00 a year, spending that much money on infants (twins or not) is ridiculous. $120,000.00 on the nurseries alone?! Jiminy Crickets! Imagine what good that money could have done for children less fortunate than hers. It would have been nice to tell them when they’re older that Mommy and Daddy donated money to needy children in their names,rather than spend it on ridiculously overpriced stuff that they won’t even use for very long.
Focus on the kids, not the stuff Jen. New twins are a lot of work.

Petit Tresor is always giving away the information about what people buy there. I remember reading a while back that they make stuff up to get publicity. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit. What does, though, is that the celebs keep going there if they don’t want information leaked.

I couldn’t imagine purchasing things at a store and then having my purchases itemized for the world. As far as JL not discussing the pregnancy in interviews…. some people actually feel that talking about it very openly may “jinx” the pregnancy in some way… now I have no idea IF SHE feels that way but that it just one in a list of possible reasons she has chosen not to give interviews to the public about it. Congratulations to them, I think it is very exciting and such happy news.

When you’ve been wanting something so bad like she’s been wanting kids, when you finally get it, you’re gonna do everything you can to cherish and keep it, thats why i think shes spending so much and i think its worth it. If it was her fourth of fifth kid, i doubt she’ll be doing this. Anyway, congrats to her and i’m ecstatic for her and Marc. Shes lucky to have been wanting this for soo long and finally get double of it.

Really happy for her, thats she’s finally getting what shes wanted, but aren’t the shop staff supposed to be mum about stuff like this?. Some hospital staff almost got fired some months ago after leaking details about a celebs accident. Wonder why this is being made public, her net worth alone is over a $100million dollars, her babies will definitely leave a super- life.
