CBB Exclusive update: Scott Baio and Renee Sloan welcome a daughter
Update: We just heard from Renee, who confirmed the birth exclusively to CBB and shared all the details.
We did have a girl on Nov. 2nd at 11:19 A.M. I had her 5 weeks early by c-section.She was 5 lbs, 12 oz. and 20 inches long.
I can tell you that she has blonde hair and blue eyes, just as I did when I was born. She lookslike Scott.
Scott will be doing the Ellen show on Dec. 20th, (whichmay air on the 21st) and we will be going to the taping (the baby,Kalyn, and I) and we will probably tell Ellen what we named her…

Renee also included a photo of her, Scott, and Kalyn. She and Scott tied the knot last weekend in a roof-top ceremony in Los Angeles.
Originally posted November 19th:Life & Style Weekly reports that actor Scott Baio, 46, and his fiancee Renee Sloan are new parents after welcoming a daughter on Friday, November 2nd. Reportedly, the baby girl weighed in at 5 lbs, 10 oz and arrived 5 weeks early — she had been due in early December. Apparently Scott has gotten over his shock at becoming a parent — a friend of the couple told the tabloid,
Scott’s over the moon — he’s changing diapers and getting up at night to help with feedings.
The new baby joins her big sister, Kalyn, Renee’s 18-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. The new season of Scott and Renee’s reality show, Scott Baio is 45…and Single, will focus on fatherhood.

Wonderful I’m a huge scott baio fan, and I love all his past shows and love his reality show too. Can’t wait to see the baby, I think she will look like her daddy for some reason. Wow renee’s daughter is 18, that’s a big age gap between the siblings. Hope they confirm the name soon,there were rumors the baby’s name was gonna be bonnie or bailey, so I’m curious what they named her.

Wow, 5 pounds and 5 weeks early! Imagine what she would have weighed if she was full-term! Goodness. Glad all are healthy and doing well.

Congratulations to them. I guess the new season will be called ‘Scott Baio is 46…and a New Dad’?
I guess Renee had Kalyn when she was very young, and it sounded like Kalyn was living in Tennessee with the grandmother. Don’t know the whole story there.
I think Renee has the Annette Bening honorary award for settling down the latest wayward bachelor.

Kalyn lives with her grandparents and father in tennessee, from what I heard. And Renee had her at 17, I heard.

why does it take so long for some of the parents to name thier little ones

I don’t think it’s that it takes parents long to name their children, I think they just don’t confirm the news to the media right away, I’m sure if the baby was born on nov 2nd she had a name before she left the hospital. Scott himself hasn’t confirmed even the birth yet, although I believe it’s true, so maybe they are waiting till their new season starts soon to announce the baby’s name and stuff.
Sarah’s note: Right, I just think they don’t want to share at this point. They did have a name picked out a few months ago though. I emailed Renee about the birth, but it seems like she doesn’t want to confirm or deny, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Well my parents didn’t name me for a week after I was born, and likewise with my siblings. They just wanted to make sure my name was right for me before settling on it. It annoyed my Papa though who kept saying to my Mum “How can I tell everyone I have a grand-daughter when I don’t know her name?!”

Congrats to them! 5lbs at 35 weeks is completely normal and doesn’t indicate a big baby. My two were 5lbs9oz and 5lbs5oz at almost 35 weeks. At 1/2lb a week that only equates to a 7.5-8lb full term baby, perfectly normal.

The baby was a good weight. I’m gonna watch ellen, and see what scott has to say and what they named the baby. I actually bought charles in charge season 2 on dvd yesterday, I love that show lol. That’s cute the baby has blonde hair and blue eyes, for some reason I thought she would have dark hair and eyes. Can’t wait to see a pic, she is probably adorable. Kalyn looks a lot like renee, just with darker hair.

I actually met Scott about 15 years ago at Sacramento airport. He wasn’t really a nice guy, but he has mentioned that himself on his reality show. Good luck to him and Renee and their new family. She seems like a very nice person.

I had my daughter 5 weeks early and she weighed 5lbs 1oz and was 18.5 inches long. Had i delivered full term she would have been about 7lbs or so.

my son went to school with kalyn and he says that she a very nice and good person, an average teenage girl, and a very pretty one also. I think renee was right to leave kalyn out of LA.
