Snoop Dogg says kids motivated him to salvage relationship with wife
Three years ago, Snoop Dogg says he almost made the biggest mistake of his life. Tempted by "all the girls and the nightlife" of Hollywood, Snoop filed for divorce from his wife Shante. The 36-year-old rapper reconsidered, however, after realizing how much he’d be giving up and for so little in return.
I thought I was the man, and I was willing to give up what I had at home for that, until I realized that what I had at home was irreplaceable. So I gave that up to go back home.
I just don’t want another man raising my kids. That was the main goal. I had kids with my wife because I wanted to be with my wife. And those three babies are all wanted, and I wanted to be with them.
Snoop and Shante have three children together — Corde, 13, Cordell, 10 and Cori, 8. The family is featured in the new reality television show Father Hood, and Snoop says that the decision to allow cameras into their home was an easy one.
Sometimes you lose focus because this Hollywood entertainment world can throw you off track. That’s why you see me doing things like this television show and my own football league, and the positive things I do, because I’m back aware again.

wow
I have to say I never had a high opinion of snoop..
but after reading what he had to say about his family.. I’m really surprised and really impressed.
he sounds like a family man at heart and I’m so glad he actually realised that before he made a big mistake
most people don’t realise what they have till they lose it.
well done snoop.

Snoop really seems like a stand-up guy, and in the past few years he’s seemed to make a true effort at the world around him. I think it’s great.
I also think it’s great the he wants to set an example for others to see. He’s right, people often presume people in his particular genre don’t care for family and whatnot.

Cori looks to be a blend of her Shante and Snoop, now that I can do comparisons. While Corde and Cordell seem to take bits and pieces from either side. Love Cordell’s high top fade. I didn’t think I’d see a day when that style would come back.
I’m also glad that Snoop decided to man up and keep the precious life he had with his life.
I’ve always thought he had a lovely family, too.

I’m glad that Snoop saw the light before he threw everything away. He seems like a really great and dedicated family man.

Yes, Cordell is definitely bringing the old school back with the haircut and gold chain, lol. I think Cori is just too cute for words. I just want to pinch her cheeks.

I think Snoop was able to realize that you can’t put a price on the things that really matter in life. When you’re at the top of your game and worth a lot of money, it’s hard to tell who your real friends are. Shante has known him since he was a kid in high school. I wish them all the best.
