They may want to consider using Carol’s Daughter’s products on Henry’s hair or else getting giving him a haircut.

Why? Does he look to ethnic for you? I see nothing wrong with Henry’s hair. I see that the hair comment only comes up with minority children. He is such a cutie pie

I’m black and over my lifetime I have worn perms, curls, afros, and braids. I love Afro’s and nautural hair, but just like anyone who has hair, it needs to be cared for properly. Henry’s afro would look really cute if someone would take the time to properly care for it Xen.

Umm…actually, Henry is ethnic. He’s a biracial child. As far as his hair is concerned, hey its up to the parents if they want to cut it or not.

J-Lin,
I’m black and I was thinking the same thing your were. Black hair needs constant care. If it not taken care of if becomes really unmanageable after a few day. Which I recently learn the hard way after not combing my daughter’s loose hair for two days.

i didnt want to mention his hair at first, but yeah it is a bit out of control. good out of control is ok, but looking unkept out of control isn’t. i’m sure it’s a different ballgame for them to deal with his hair as opposed to leni’s. so what works for her hair probably doesn’t work for his. for him being a biracial child, that’s a challenge and just a part of his life. there’s nothing wrong in saying ok they may need some help in learning how to properly care for their boys’ hair. the length they chose to keep it is totally up to them, but it still has to be properly maintained at any length.

I just love this kid. he is my all time favourite celeb baby. Gorgeous!!
he reminds me of my son who makes that same personality filled faces and has a wild mane of curls (though my son has loose curls).

I PERSONALLY THINK THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM WEARING A LITTLE CURLY AFRO, WILL SMITH’S SON WEARS IT AND THE LADY ON THE VIEW SON WEARS’S A AFRO. HE HAS A BLACK FATHER SO MARY HOW COULD HIS HAIR BE A CHALLENGE? HEIDI KLUM IS A MODEL SO IM PRETTY SURE THAT SEAL PREFERS HIS SON HAIR LIKE THAT. ITS REALLY NONE OF ANYONE ELSE BUSINESS. IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT DON’T LOOK AT IT.

The point is not that he is wearing any afro. It’s adorable. The point is that black hair requires much more specified care and pampering than Caucasian and other types of hair, and Heidi needs to make sure that Henry’s hair is getting enough moisture and attention. Those who know nothing about the care of black hair are the ones who need to keep their mouths shut and stop making assumptions about others “anti-ethnic-ness”.

I am definitely “ethnic” all the way, so as a fellow person who has “challenging” hair that requires a little more maintenance than your “normal” hair type, I know that that probably isn’t how it should look. Yes, Jaden Smith wears an afro, so does the young fellow Corbin Bleu from High School Musical, but theirs looks KEPT. I implore you to look at a pic of these hairdos side by side. Trust me, this isn’t what it should look like. Period. No need to get hostile about it. Again, like I said, for ppl who have never had to deal with curly/kinky hair of any type, you have no idea. We can’t wash and go just like that. There’s much more to the process. His hair missed some of those extra steps, hence why it looks unkept. I’m done.

Henry is not cute kid.

Well said J and Mary.
I know many kids with ethnic hair and their parents never learned to care for it properly. They end up hating their hair and that hatred manifests itself in other ways. Henry has lovely hair as does Leni and the baby. I hope he grows to learn to care for it and love it because it’s a part of him.
