"I was too emotional [when I was pregnant]. I cried at the drop of a hat. It’s Hallmark commercials, it’s anything you could possibly imagine. Not even Hallmark. It’s a coffee commercial, and they pick up [the cup of coffee] and I’d go [crying] ‘Ooooh, it’s coffee!’"

Introducing Beckett Mancuso Chung

Numb3rs’ star Diane Farr, 34, and her husband, marketing exec Seung Chung, 37, introduce their son Beckett Mancuso, 9 months, in the latest issue of Us Weekly. Beckett, born on March 16th, is named for Irish poet and playwright Samuel Beckett, while his middle name is a family name on Diane’s side. Says Diane,

He’s a Buddha baby. A happy, jolly fatso — he’s 25 pounds and 33 inches! I make all his baby food.

On milestones:

He’s standing up and cruising. My office has, like, 17 [baby] gates. It’s fun to just watch him run around. It is everything I thought I was missing.

On vices:

[He loves Starbucks.] The cups. He will do anything for a Starbucks cup!

Now THAT is a cute baby! What a doll Beckett is. I’m surprised Diane waited so long to show him to us!

My son (14 months) is the same way with the cup lids at our local coffeeshop, I don’t know why they’re so enticing?

  2. RENEE Says:

Oh my gosh. He’s probably the cutest celebrity baby I’ve seen in a LONG time.

  3. Sarita Says:

    Aww he’s super cute!

  4. Jennifer Says:

He is an absolute cutie! :-)

  5. aaron Says:

Ha! I know what she means! I have a seriously chunky two and a half month old! He’s 21 plus pounds right now! I love it when they are big, solid, healthy babies! I think (and my pediatrician agrees) that fat babies are happy babies. It’s the scrawny ones that tend to be fussy! All the other med staff at my job keep telling me I should sell my breastmilk! :) )
He’s a super cute baby!! I can’t wait to have mine sitting up like that! Beckett is a cute name, too.

  6. Tatum Says:

he has the same birthday as me!! :)

  7. Anne Says:

My gosh, is my daughter really as tiny as this little boy & Aaron’s son are making her sound? LOL I always knew she was a peanut, but wow. She is almost 2 and about 33 inches and a whopping 22 pounds. It will be interesting to see what percentiles she’s in at her 2 year appointment.

  8. gracie Says:

aaron, hate to burst your bubble but 21 pounds at 2 months is outrageous. An overweight baby is not a healthy baby. I really hope you are kidding. I’ve seen many chubby fussy babies. Anyway, Beckett is adorable!

  9. Claire Says:

Oh my gosh that baby is huge!!! I thought my son was gigantic but he is 35 inches and 28 lbs at 18 months. My son has always been in the 95th percentile for height. I can’t believe how tall he is. But he is so adorable and I love his name. I was going to name my new one that.

  10. FC Says:

He’s adorable! He has his father’s features, of course, but everything else makes me think of his mom.

  11. cindy Says:

    Beautiful, beautiful boy!!!

  12. trinh Says:

gracie, your comment was just rude

  13. Aaron Says:

Gracie, you have not a clue what you’re talking about. My boy was born at 10 and a half pounds, and his place on the percentile charts has always been at the 100th percentile. My daughters are the same way. Tall, very proportionate, Amazonian children. Some babies are teensy peanuts, some are not. Just as some people are 5 ft tall as adults and some are 7 ft tall, that’s what we call VARIETY on planet Earth. I’ll go one step farther than Trinh and say that your comment was not only rude, it was obnoxious and ill-informed.
Not only are my pediatrician and family doctor more than satisfied with my big, healthy baby, I am quite happy with him as well, and I’m a med student. So! Stick with things that you know. This isn’t one of them. :)

  14. liza Says:

my 30 month old is 43 inches tall and 46 pounds… thats HUGE… he wears a 4 or 5t… daddy is 6′6″ so, he will def be tall, its all a matter of proportion to me!! Hes tall and lean, and has huge hands and feet!!

  15. susanna Says:
