Kelly Rutherford talks about her ‘Sweetie Mouse’
Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford, 39, and her 14-month-old son Hermès Gustaf Daniel — whom she calls ‘Sweetie Mouse‘ — appear in Us Weekly’s latest issue. Here are the highlights:
On special words: Kelly’s nursing her son, but he doesn’t exactly comprehend the whole process.
He can say ‘booba’ for boobies, but he doesn’t understand that Papa [Daniel Giersch, 33] doesn’t have boobs!
On manners:
He wants to share everything! I eat more soggy Cheerios than I ever thought I would!
On nannies:
We don’t have help. We both really wanted to be with him.
Favorite toy: His Radio Flyer tricycle.
He could get speeding tickets with that thing, it’s so fast.

He’s named for the Greek god. Honestly, I kind of like it, in a weird way!
My son was the same way about the boobs…didn’t understand why he couldn’t just snack off anyone!

I love when celebrities talk about nursing in a normal way and make it seem the norm. Well done Kelly for nursing for 14 months!
He is adorable, his name is really growing on me too!

Have to add my thumbs up to being open about extended nursing. My son was always after Daddy’s “nursies” too. He just gave it up last month, in fact, at nearly four years old…
