Update: Nancy Kerrigan expecting third child
Update: Husband Jerry Solomon, 53, tells People,
We are thrilled, and she’s feeling great. We’ve actually known for quite a while but didn’t want to say anything because of the number of miscarriages [6 in eight years] she had in the past, so she’s farther along than we might otherwise have done it. But everybody’s very excited.
The only person unsure of the pregnancy is toddler son Brian, 2 ½.
Brian changes from day to day. [laughs] Sometimes he thinks it’ll be fun, sometimes he doesn’t like babies, sometimes he thinks he’s a baby, so it’s really all over. But he hasn’t figured out yet whether he’s in favor of this or not.
Nancy and Jerry have their own decision to ponder — should they find out the sex of the baby?
We haven’t decided whether we want to know the sex or not. We’ve been debating!
Update January 6th: Nancy Kerrigan, 38, confirmed on CN8 last evening that she is expecting her third child, due in May.
I’m halfway through.
The new baby will join Clay, 18, from Jerry’s previous marriage, as well as Matthew, 11, and Brian, 2 ½.

Update December 15th: CBB reader Cheryl wrote us, telling that she also saw Nancy and thought that the former figure skater is expecting,
I don’t have positive information on Nancy Kerrigan being pregnant. But, I will tell you. I saw her at the Dodge Theater Broadway on Ice show last night and she definitely looks pregnant. I googled to see of confirmation to my suspicion and found your rumor. I believe it is true!

Was at an event this weekend with Nancy Kerrigan — overheard her telling someone that she is pregnant with #3. She didn’t look very big — guessing 4 or 5 months along max, but I didn’t hear when she was due. She has two sons, Matthew, 11 and another one, Brian who is 2 1/2 (she had trouble getting pregnant again after the first one). Dad is Jerry Solomon.

I think it’s true too. If you look at the pictures here (http://www.amarillo.com/stories/121207/new_9180296.shtml) from the show, she does look thicker than normal. Especially in the second shot. Still a very gorgeous woman though!
I hope this news is true…I am currently experiencing difficulty in conceiving baby #2 (going on 27months now), so i can very much relate to her previous struggle in bringing her second child into the world. Hopefully this baby came with little effort for them!

That’s great!
I remember her speaking of her difficulties getting pregnant and having miscarriages.
Congrats to them!

She’s had so many miscarriages! I’m really happy for her that she was able to finally keep a baby long term again.

I am so happy for Nancy and her family…. especially after all of the miscarriages she went through. I must say though, that after looking at the pictures of her performing in the Ice Show recently, I was actually quite surprised that she would be skating while pregnant… then to see the picture of her falling on the ice was just awful. I hope she and the baby are both ok. What a scare. Although she’s a great ice skater, I hope she stays off the ice until AFTER she has the baby.
