Jennifer Lopez talks about her ‘bubble gut’
While the rest of the world speculated as to whether or not she was expecting her first baby (or babies), Jennifer Lopez tells Harper’s Bazaar she thought the answer was quite obvious.
I kind of feel like everybody knew anyway. I was on tour with a bubble gut!
The initial decision by Jennifer and her husband Marc Anthony to forego an official announcement with regard to the pregnancy was deliberate, the 38-year-old singer says, and not designed to drum up more publicity for the couple as some have speculated.
I do realize people want to know because they’re interested, but this is the first time I’m going through this. This is my experience and my husband’s experience, and we get to hold that for a little while…We’re just getting used to the fact that we’ve told everybody.
Jennifer’s need for privacy during her pregnancy will naturally carry over for her family once the new addition(s) is/are born, she says. As for her professional plans, Jennifer is non-committal — and happily so.
I don’t know – and I like that, because my life has been so planned for so many years. Once I did the tour, I really just wanted to shut it down, and since then I’ve had to do three things, including a video. It may not sound like a lot, but you know, as this point, any woman can sympathize. It is a lot. I was ready just to sit.
Jennifer and Marc confirmed the pregnancy in November. They are rumored to be due with twins in March.

I can’t wait to “meet” the baby. <3 JLo; she really deserves this! I think she'll be a great mommy.

I wonder if she’ll ever come out and say it’s twins or if she’ll slip in an interview. I’d say if she’s due in march it has to be twins. She’s huge!!

I remember that delightful feeling of knowing that baby was on its way but that only me and my husband knew. So much of JLo and her husband’s lives are public it must have been great for them to have something that is so very important to themselves for so long.

Of course J-Lo’s keeping a low profile! This does not surprise me at all.
Remember the media frenzy surrounding her when she was engaged to Ben Affleck? It was insane! That would have traumatized me too.
My hat is off to ALL celebrities who choose to keep their private life PRIVATE. (And, yes, they do have a certain amount of control over such things, but not all choose to exercise it.)
