A brunette and recently reduced (she went from a 32 FF to a 32D) Katie ‘Jordan’ Price, 29, her husband Peter André, 34, and their children Harvey Daniel, 5 ½, Junior Savva, 2 ½, and Princess Tiáamii, 6 months, were spotted in Australia on Thursday. The couple is currently visiting Peter’s family while filming new episodes of their reality show.

Baby P-T looks just like Peter spat her out and there she was. I love her little sparkly sandals. They’re adorable!
It’s good to see the family looking relaxed.
And, good Lord! Double Fs? That’s a lot of boob! But her silhouette is a lot better, more normal, since her reduction. The darker hair works too.

Despite the fact I don’t agree with most of what Katie says, I have to admit she is a very wonderful, hands on mother and advocate for special needs children. She doesn’t hide Harvey away, she rejoices in her son as does Peter, who despite not being Harvey’s biological father (he walked away from Katie and Harvey) is Harvey’s father. You can’t fault them both on this.
I agree, Princess (can’t get used to that as a first name) is a mini Peter!

Why do parents insist on putting their kids on leashes?! Sure it’s probably safer so they don’t run off or nobody runs off with them but I’ve always thought they’re ridiculous! Children are not pets. Hold them by the hands for goodness sakes!! Sorry it’s JMO.
I am not sure I dig the brunette hair on Katie she looks really different.

When I first saw these pics, I figured there would be comments about the child leash….I think they are great. I have a very strong willed daughter and there is nothing more frightening that having her pull her hand out of mine and run off in a carpark or mall. These things give the child the freedom to walk around, but they can’t get into danger.
Plus, my parents used them when we were younger and I didn’t grow up with any sort of canine feelings.

J.M., it’s not always so simple to say “hold hands” when it comes to kids running around the place. There are plenty of varied situations (particular children or family situations – ie triplets or other multiples) where it’s the best solution to keeping kids safe.
My mother had four children, and three of us were fine holding her hands, but the youngest (my brother) was like a little rocket, dashing out here and there without a moments notice. This was when he was about two years old. Now, my mother also had three other children to look out for – not enough hands to go around – and she was worried that two-year-old Alex may be injured or worse, running out onto the road. He didn’t mind the leash in the slightest, and only needed it for about six months (during that particular ‘phase’!) He’s now twenty years old and doesn’t even remember it, but he does laugh about it with mom.
Then, there is my three-year-old next door neighbour, who at age three refuses point blank to hold her mommy’s hand. But she actually loves being on the leash. For her it’s likes a game: she has her mommy hold it while she balances like a ballerina, or pretends to trot in front like a pony pulling mom on a cart. It really has nothing to do with treating the kid like a pet, it’s just a safety precaution. People’s attitude to toddler leashes really irritate me sometimes – anything to improve the safety of young children is always a good thing.

I like this family, too. Poor Katie, she’s one of those women with not very strong genes- none of her kids look very much like her- they’re all dad.
I HATE those kid leashes- they just scream ANIMAL. I’d prefer to teach my kids to hold my hand and not bolt. I have a high-spirited 3 year old son, and I have never used a leash. It’s like you’re taking your kid for a walk. The only thing missing is the pooper-scooper.

i had reigns or a ‘leash’ when i was younger because i was a bit of a tearaway. I think in an airport/ busy area situation they’re great and i don’t associate them with animals at all really.
I was just wondering, in case i missed it, if CBB posted the article from Britains OK magazine a few weeks ago where the photoshoot was just Katie and Harvey?
I saw the posting of her with just Junior but i didn’t see the one with Harvey. The pictures were really cute.

I’m also not a fan of child-leashes. They do look ridiculous, despite what anyone might say. A simple wrist-strap for example is just as safe but doesn’t look silly.
Personally, I never used any of that stuff – whenever we got into a potentially dangerous situation, like crossing a road or a carpark I automatically picked my little son up and carried him for that short stretch rather than pulling him along like a dog.
All the kids look sweet. And I love to see Harvey so happy!

why is Harvey in a wheelchair? I think I saw her show on E! last year, but even that was taped in 2005, and premiered in the UK well before it made it here. I don’t really understand her fame, but from the show she has always seemed lovely with her challenged son; she seems like a good mum. Is she a pinup/playboy girl?

I was always “horrified” when my mother-in-law used to laugh about needing a child leash for my husband when he was little (she also had to deal with his 15-months-younger sister)–until my son started walking! He was strong, fast & all over the place early on–I suddenly gained a lot of empathy for Grandma, because I finally understood there was no way my son (or my husband) could be taught to “hold hands” when he was a toddler. Some little kids are just not able to control themselves, period. I never had to resort to a leash, as he was my only child, but I kept him in his stroller until he had self control. We lived in Manhattan at the time, and I don’t even want to think about the consequences of him running out into the street there. Better safe than sorry; Katie & Peter have a lot on their plates, so don’t judge unless you’ve been there, and if you haven’t been there, consider yourself lucky!

Love the kids think they are beautiful. About the kids “leash” my now 13.5 yr old had them when he was 4. He was very high strung and constantly running. When you are out in public like we were at the Zoo I think they are very safe. If you need to get money out of your wallet and let go of his/her hand away they go. My sons was the wrist version. So I am all for them if needed for safety..

It’s their kids and if they feel like using a kid “leash” for them, it’s their business. If it makes the parents feel safer when going out with their children, I don’t have an issue with it. I will probably use one if and when I have kids if we are somewhere like an amusement park or any other place with a large crowd of people. I support debate but when it starts sounding like people are criticizing parents for doing nothing wrong just something different, I get bothered by that.

I have written comments before when it comes to safety and children. A parent needs to do whatever they feel is necessary for the safety of their child. In this case it is a no win situation. She is damned if she does have a leash or if the child takes off and makes a dash off for the streets and she yells at him in public then she is a horrible parent for the way she yelled. So if people don’t like to see a child “restrained” remember it wont hurt them. Hopefully it is protecting the child and keeping the parents sane but just annoy you.
A comment on Katie and Pete I hope it is just a picture taken at the wrong time but they look sad.

I however, do not like that leash.
I have cousins that bolt away and hate holding hands. But the leash is just horrible to me. It doesn’t look comfortable and I’m terrified that the child would get tangled. My mother already has a method for dealing with runaway kids and it worked with me and my little brothers, to this day I don’t wonder off without my mothers permission. (I’m 16, still live with the parents.) I understand the trouble with dealing with hyper kids, but I still wouldn’t be able to put a child in my care, IMO.

I always feel bad when I see toddlers having to reach their arms way up to hold hands with their mom/dad, and half the time it looks like its coming out of the socket if the mom/dad is walking too fast or what not…any time i’ve seen kids on the “leashes” they are trotting around…I’d think they’d feel more free!

I find children to be more animalistic when their parents are not disciplining them and let them act out without boundaries or guidelines. That’s when I mentally compare a child to an insane animal, something that’s never happened when I’ve seen one on a leash.

I love how everyone is an expert on everyone else’s children. Some children, no matter how “well disciplined” will have problems due to the way they are wired. I’d rather have other parents give me dirty looks for having my kids on a leash than have a tragedy happen because I was worried about what pretentious parents think.

My nephew is a ‘tearaway’ kid who’s always running. He hated holding hands so much he’s dislocated his own shoulder and elbow yanking away from his mum’s hand. Holding hands isn’t the best option in every situation. As long as the child isn’t restrained 24/7 I don’t think it’s a problem.

The leash thing, I swore I’d never get one before having kids, but now that I have 2 children 3 and under, It’s a must to bring along for big public places. I can’t carry my son’s infant seat AND hold my daughter’s hand (she flat out refuses, and is one of those bolt off without looking kids)I gave in about 3 months ago and got one of the newer “backpack leashes” it’s a backpack with a strap you can unhook, and then it’s just a plain little puppy backpack with a pocket for her “baby”. I think it’s great. Sure I get some odd looks sometimes, probably those that think the leashes are an awful invention, but wait till you have kids of your own, a super wired only child, or 2 or more children to look after. That “awful” leash, could potentially be your child’s lifesaver.

They have a disabled child in a wheelchair and a baby and a toddler! and only 2 pairs of hands! I actually applaud them for managing to safely take all their kids out together.

Princess’ sandals are from Tesco…my daughter has them too! Hopefully that’s where the similarities between me and Jordan end
These three are gorgeous kids and I don’t have any problem with the child-reins (although I’ve never used them). Unfortunately I can’t shake the feeling that Jordan views her kids with £ signs in her eyes, and she is way too crass for me.
I find it odd that she chose to have the breast reduction on the other side of the World, right before her daughter’s first Christmas. But each to their own

For those saying the leashes are wrong, you either have no children or only one. Or maybe you are a perfect parent. Lucky you!
I have three kids and bought a teddy bear backpack “leash” for my three year old when I took the kids to the State Fair this last summer. Too many people to take a chance with a run away child. I had him try it on in the store and he LOVED IT. If he hadn’t I would have figured out something else.
I had several people comment badly about it to me in public and each time I asked my child if he wanted me to take it off. He said no. I think that kids like the ability to feel like they can run around but still feel secure.
While I have taken off the “leash” part for now, my son still loves to wear the backpack part around the house. I no longer care what others think about it. As long as he enjoys it then we will use it.

Its a shame for him (because of his disabilities) but its lovely to see him smiling…he’s a beautiful little boy!

I don’t have a problem with child-reins. I think they’re very useful – especially for parents with more than one toddler. Yes, they’re not the prettiest things but they are so safe especially when you’re out and about.
There are so many different types of reins:
As the above but in different patterns/colours
Attached to backpacks
OR
Simple ones that wrap around the wrist like a bracelet
I think (from experience with younger cousins & family members) that the one Katie and Peter use for Junior is the safest.
However you can get prettier looking ones from places like Mothercare.

Jenni; I’d be willing to bet they aren’t on their own with the kids! Especially as they are filming as part of their reality show, I don’t know if it’s shown in the US but they never really go anywhere on their own.
Jordan’s PR manager, hairdresser (plus boyfriend), make-up artist and more were all in attendance during their honeymoon and at the hospital when she went for her c-section! As were her Mum and brother, but I expect that’s pretty normal LOL

As far as the leash…I have one, I have 4 kids, 2 hands…At one point I had a 2.5 year old, a 14 month odl and a new born. I felt MUCH safer running errands wiht the 2 youngst in a double stroller and the 2.5 year old with the leash.
You can disapline a child till the cows come home, BUT what if just for a second you turn around to grab something off a shelf and shes gone. It has nothing to do with disipline to me, its safety.

As far as “leashes” go, I have two girls under the age of two. My oldest will not stay in a stroller and will not consistently hold hands. However, she LOVES her backpack that has a leash hooked to it. Say what you will about them, but she’s safe and she gets to explore and walk on her own while I carry my newborn.
Besides, come on now, I don’t tell you how to raise your kids, why are you complaining about the way I raise mine? If it works for us, why make it in to a big issue?

I live in NYC and I am very pro-leash. I have been meaning to get one for my own toddler, as he’s a big runner and often squirms out of my grasp. I have a horrible fear that he will run into traffic – since that would only require him to break away for a second, so it’s pretty likely. Traffic everywhere here. I am getting a bad back from carrying him a lot, since he often throws tantrums in the stroller. I think the people who are anti-leash must not live in the middle of a city or maybe they only have one calm kid? (or no kids?)
FYI: the wrist leashes – they may look a lot better, but I’ve heard bad things about them. Supposedly, there is a risk of dislocating the child’s arm or wrist if they jerk away too quickly. I think we’ll go with a backpack version when we get one.

It is comments like these that really irk me. Let’s face facts. Jordan (Katie) is a celeb. Put yourself in her shoes. Due to her fame, regular folk and paparazzi are going to be after her for photos of her and her children. I bet you anything that if you were her, you’d do the same thing; it is much better to have some measure of control by doing photoshoots for the glossies versus doing nothing and having to worry about a photographer hiding in a bush to get a shot. It has nothing to do with having £ signs in her eyes and more with her having quite a lot of common sense.

would you rather lose your child than have them on a “leash”? and it’s not a leash, it’s a harness, my 2 year old has a stuffed monkey one and he loves it! i can’t carry him, my 4 month old and a diaper bag at the same time. it amazes me how people would rather take a chance than put one on. at least i know my son is safe.

Dawn; I see your point, I really do and I’m not saying she should NEVER have her kids in the glossies. But it’s more or less every week here, with headlines about Harvey still wearing nappies, or Harvey weighing more than her, or Harvey sharing clothes with Pete. Personally, I think it’s going too far and I think it humiliates Harvey particularly. She doesn’t need the money and I feel that once or twice a year would be enough, not nearly every week.
She’s also made it clear a number of times that Harvey doesn’t like photo shoots and finds the bright lights upsetting, but she still does them.
Just my opinion, but it’s one that’s widely held in the UK, where people really are at saturation point with these two.

I simply adore this family, they are all so precious. I wasn’t aware Harvey was in a wheelchair, I certainly hope he isn’t experiencing additional medical problems!

The family looks so happy and every darn one of them is gorgeous!! After seeing Katie and Pete on E! I really miss not seeing them anymore. Those two just took my heart, and kept it. I’m so happy for all of them!

Katie Sweetheart, you look absolutely gorgeous! I read somewhere you were concerned about looking more Motherly, maybe not as sexy? Not to worry Precious, you have many, many years and even at that, I bet you will be the most stunning 60year old. After all isn’t the 60 the new 40!! I know I’m 55 and I still feel good, and I must still have it? I get too much attention from 38-40 year olds. It is still flattering, I can’t believe it, but it’s still nice to know.

to jm those holders are ridiculous and at the same i myself if my son was the type with high energy or if we were in a area where there are cars such as a parking lot or a place where there are a lot of people i would use one my son is 19 months old and does not get the concept of holding onto hands yet but he can walk and run and if that kept my son happy and safe i would use it in this world where people paying attention and child predators and kidnappers for that reason i like knowing these are an option out there
