Jessica Alba at V-Day luncheon says she’s having “the best time ever”
2008 is poised to be a big year for Jessica Alba. Pregnant for the first time and sporting a brand new engagement ring, she says that "it’s the best time ever" in her life.
I have two movies coming out, a baby, a fiancé -– everything.
Big changes aren’t the only thing ‘big’ in Jessica’s life, however. Although she has the tiniest of bumps, she recently expressed a few reservations about her physique before getting on stage to perform a scene from Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues at Glamour magazine’s celebration of the 10th Anniversary of V-Day.
I hope [my dress] won’t pop while I’m up here. And if it does, you’re all women, and I think you’ll understand it. [When you're pregnant], your breasts are engorged and your stomach is getting bigger. . . . And the ass, too, that’s getting bigger by the second!
The brief performance might be Jessica’s last for a while, and she says she doesn’t mind the downtime. The 26-year-old, who calls pregnancy "awesome" despite feeling tired and more hungry than usual, tells People she recently bought a new house and is "in nesting phase."
I don’t know if anyone wants me in their movies [when I'm] six months pregnant. I’ll get the fire and I’ll want to work again, but right now it’s a time to relax and sit back.
Jessica’s baby with fiance Cash Warren — pictured with her above — is due in late spring/early summer. V-Day is a global movement which seeks to prevent physical and sexual violence against women and girls.
