She’s allowed to write whatever she want on HER blog. if you find her comments “insensitive” don’t read it. it’s very simple.

Just because it’s natural, it doesn’t make it any more enjoyable. I think it’s strange actually, to not understand that.

From what I’ve read (I believe it was on kellymom), fake tans are ok during pregnancy as long as you don’t do the spray kind, because it can get in your lungs. The spray kind is fine during nursing, but you should obviously avoid your breasts or any area where the baby routinely puts their mouth. I kept meaning to apply a fake tan to my face during my pregnancy, but I chickened out and thought I’d wait until after. Can you believe I STILL have never done it, and my baby is now 2. Guess I got lazy.

What is she doing at Sunset Tan? Tanning or getting sprayed. Is either safe? I am also having my maternity photos done and was thinking about getting a spray tan.

Wow. I can’t believe people are criticizing her for voicing the same complaints nearly every person (who has been pregnant) I know has. It’s not like she said something unique or offensive! All pregnant women have to pee all the time. No breaking news there.

Also, why should she censor herself for infertile couples? It’s not like she was bragging about how easily she gets pregnant or complaining about not wanting so many kids. She’s allowed to not enjoy every single aspect of her pregnancy without coming across as ungrateful. I think some readers may be personalizing these comments too much.

I like her honesty. It makes me feel good to know I’m not the only person out there who felt like she had a gastric band during the last few months of pregnancy. I was so hungry, but felt over-full and had bad reflux whenever I ate.

Her comments about vaginal discharge reminded me of that chapter in Jenny McCarthy’s pregnancy book entitled “Niagara in my Pants”. That title really gave me a big laugh while pregnant.

I can’t believe she is tanning while pregnant. It shouldn’t matter what she looks like, but how well she is treating the baby in her womb. Unbelievable….

I just love Brooke’s openness. As a happily married couple with no children due to infertility and God’s will, I see nothing wrong with her comments. She is “blogging” her feelings, and as it is her body, that is her right. I love that she is sharing so much of this pregnancy with the public.

To many readers, celebrities are “darned if they do” say too much and “darned if they don’t” say anything at all. Can’t please everyone!

CeeCee, I actually find it very hard to believe that your pregnancy went so well you had absolutly no complaints. Even though you know that you are carrying something so precious, pregnancy is no walk in the park. lol

I think it’s nice she’s being honest. Women have high expectations if all they see are the glossy perfect images of pregnancy in the media. Some of the things she’s dealing with are things not even your doctor or your own mother tells you about. Things like Hemorrhoids, leeking pee and breast milk during pregnancy or mucus plugs, bloody shows and bowel movements during labour can be quite a shock. Pregnancy is a time of joy (for most women) but it’s also hard work and hard on the body.

I think in her role as a celebrity, she’s helping women and not being insensitive. If that is the case, this whole site runs the risk of being insensitive seeing as it’s a celebration of celebrity pregnancy, birth and children. As Danielle mentions when interviewed – pregnancy is the great equalizer, which is why we read and love CBB.

I enjoyed this blog.. I can understand what other ppl are feeling, but I see her point. I love my kids and would die for them, but pregnancy wasn’t always my friend. Would I do it again to get another little angel – definitely – but it wasn’t always enjoyable so I can understand what she’s saying and everyone has a right to say what they want.

As for tanning – I didn’t do it but my sister did while pregnant and her doctor said that as long as she didn’t do it for to long and kept her body temp down (fans running, etc) that she could do it – he just didnt want her overheating/exerting herself cause that would be bad for baby.
