Update: Alex Rodriguez and wife expecting second daughter
Update: Cynthia has announced that she and Alex are expecting another girl. She is due in April.
Originally posted October 3rd: Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees and his wife, Cynthia, 34, have announced that they are currently expecting their second child. The new baby, who is due to arrive in the spring, will join big sister Natasha Alexander, 2 ½. The 32-year-old dad stated,
Cynthia and I are overjoyed to announce this addition to our family. We realize what a special gift children are, andfeel very blessed to welcome our second child.
The couple do not know the sex of the new baby, but plan to find out as soon as possible according to Cynthia.
I feel great! My daughter wantsto know more than we do!We’re just real excited. It’s almost moreexciting [than the first child] in a way, because you can anticipatewhat you already know is so amazing. We’re thrilled. We can’t wait.

Wasn’t A-Rod just involved in some sort of sex scandal, a la Kobe Bryant? I thought it was A-Rod anyways. I hope this is a sign that he and his wife’s relationship is on the mend!

A-Rod was photographed on a ‘date’ with a mystery blonde. Supposedly he was/is a big cheater. Maybe he renewed his fidelity promise to his wife and they celebrated by conceiving a new baby?

Collen yup I thought exactly of kobe bryant when I read a’rod’s wife is pregnant lol. Anytime the wives get cheated on, they get pregnant within months probably to secure more money in case they break-up in the near future lol. Anyway congrats to them, hopefully he gets his act together for his family.

He is pretty to look at. I think his daughter looks just like him. Watched the game last night… oh-my-gawd! those flying ants that hatched early were making my husband and I itch! Wonder if A-Rod will use the buggies in his eyes (they were)as an excuse for not getting a hit there in the 9th?? jk.

I knew it was another girl, in the last thread 2 days ago, I even said I think it’s another girl. The daughter looks just like him.

Wow, another girl, just as I guessed! I was secretly hoping it was a boy, but that’s okay..maybe next time if they ever have a third child. Anyway can’t wait to hear announcement about the birth in the spring.

It drives me crazy when a couple has two children of the same sex and peoples first reaction is “maybe next time they will get their boy/girl”. Why can people not just celebrate the joy and beauty of a child being brought into this world.
