Eva Longoria talks about pregnancy and its possible effect on her butt

Tags: Ha ha, Quotes

Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria, 32, recently interviewed with SELF magazine and spoke at length about her favorite exercise move – a squat. Eva admitted she was eager to keep her derrière in shape. She says:

I love working on my butt because I don’t want it to go anywhere.

When asked what she would change about her body, Eva explained that the tush was her one and only focal point because of the constant fight against ‘gravity.’ Eva goes on to talk about some of the body changes she fears as part of having children:

I’m nervous when I have a child what’s going to happen back there. I’m full of fear. [Laughs] I don’t want anything happening to the butt.

Eva and NBA husband, Tony Parker, married in July. They recently denied rumors that Eva was expecting.

    Lame.

  2. Becky's Daughter Says:

Understandable. If only I’d had that awareness about how much my tush would ‘drop’ after pregnancy. LOL! I wouldn’t have had to work so hard afterward to get back in shape.

  3. Kat Says:

I find it very annoying when female stars talk about being pregnant when they are, in fact, NOT pregnant…It’s like they want to jump on the pregnancy-publicity band wagon or something. Jennifer Aniston used to always talk to the press about having a baby, yet she’s still not a mother, so it obviously wasn’t high on her priority list. PLEASE, LADIES, DO NOT SPECULATE ABOUT PREGNANCY/MOTHERHOOD UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY ACHIEVE THIS STATE! It’s the kind of club where you have to earn membership the hard way!!! ;)

I’m sorry…its great to be concerned and want to be healthy before, during, and after pregnancy and to want to “have your body back”. But Hollywood is crazy. It is a proven fact that pregnancy and childbirth change your body forever. Even if they are only slight changes….it does still happen. I was never “afraid” of getting pregnant just because my body would change. I embraced my new curves and learned to love my body anyway. I love Kate Winslet’s attitude about it all. That is the attitude all women should have towards pregnancy.

Some of the women (and men) in Hollywood are just crazy. They have dream lives of yet they take the most natural and beautiful stuff in life and turn it into shallow, vanity driven silliness. They should be more grateful

  6. Berjoui Says:

At least she admits she has to work at it!

  7. PSB Says:

It’s so funny that her butt is the thing she is worried about. You aren’t pregnant in your butt! Does she know anybody close to her who is pregnant? The part of you that gets really destroyed is all on the front side(hips, breasts, belly). Unless she gets out of control with the eating, her behind will be fine. She should focus all of her vanity on the belly – which in her case (since she’s so small and her husbnd is so big), will probably end up pouchy from little interior muscle rips, like I have (I’m her height) from my big baby. She’s in for nasty surprise.

  8. Kate Says:

How pathetic. What a sad, insulated world Eva must live in

  9. Lulu Says:

She must be half-joking, knowing that she has access to the best trainers in the world and her discipline for maintaining her fitness won’t fly out the window just b/c of a bun in the oven. It will be different, but with her career depending on how she looks, she’ll be back in size 00 in no time.

Not everyone woman has drastic changes to her body after pregnancy; I didn’t & I’m petite like her. I think she will only benefit from slightly curvier hips…maintaining her butt is all about exercise & squats will only help her throughout labor & delivery.

  10. Fallon Says:

At least she is honest, saying she worries about it. I think a lot of women do, and defintley celebrity women. Plus Eva is very tiny in general. But there is no doubt in my mind, she woun’t bounce back, just like 95% of the celebrity moms have within months.

  11. Callen +3 Says:

Very pretty woman. But everything that comes out of her mouth is questionable.

  12. Mary Says:

I hope she’s joking. She seems like the joking type. Her butt will be the least of her worries during and after pregnancy, if she only knew. She should talk to her Desperate Housewives co-star Marcia Cross. The woman was pregnant with twins. She can’t get any more useful advise than that. Also, she could look at her mom. True her body may not react the same way to having kids, but it’s a great genetic starting point. And last but not least, if she’s that worried about her butt of all things, then perhaps she isn’t ready to have a baby. I think most mothers would sacrifice their “perfect” body any day of the week for their precious little one’s birth.
