CBB Exclusive: Julianna Margulies welcomes son Kieran Lindsay
Update: Julianna’s parents confirm to People and Us Weekly that the couple welcomed a son, named Kieran Lindsay Lieberthal. The Star Ledger reports that he arrived on Thursday, January 17th. Her dad reveals,
Obviously I’m utterly delighted to be a grandfather. I have to say, he is cuter than any other baby I’ve seen. He’s brought a lot of joy to the family. He has some of Keith’s features and some of Julianna’s features and they’re changing everyday.
On the topic of having more children, Paul Margulies replied,
I have noidea. At one point she didn’t think she was going to have any children,and that’s why this one they’re overjoyed with.
Julianna’s mother, however, was coy when asked, saying,
I better not open my mouth. I don’t want to get in trouble with my daughter.
Despite this, her voicemail message announces,
A beautiful baby boy has been born to us. All is well. His name is Kieran Lindsay Lieberthal. Is that poetry? Do a little dance. Love this day! All is well. God bless! Can’t wait to hear from you.
CBB Exclusive originally posted 3 pm: Actress Julianna Margulies, 41, and her husband Keith Lieberthal are new parents after welcoming their baby, Julianna’s rep confirms first to CBB. The sex of the child and birth details are not being released at this time.
The pregnancy was announced in August. The former ER and Sopranos star tied the knot with Keith in November.

PEOPLE just said that her mom has his name, Kieran Lindsay Lieberthal, on her answering machine.

I like the name Kieren, though I think it’s a strange choice for two Jews to name their kid. It’s Gaellic! I strangely like the name Lindsay – not sure why, but I’m totally down with it.
SO happy for Julianna, since she’s clearly been waiting forever to find the right guy and have a baby. She’s had such an eventful year!

Kieran is my favorite Irish name for a boy and I wanted that name for my 1st son but since our last name begins with a K…well, it would have sounded weird. My two boys have beautiful Irish names as well but when I hear the name Kieran, it makes me smile.

i just want to see a picture right now!
when i was a little i watched er, well all the time! but i didin’t know much about celebrities, movie stars, singers… so Julianna ( well Carol, her character) was like a role model for me, and she still is of course!
but knowing that My Favorite Actress has had a baby is just..wow! excited that’s the world!
and she really was meant to have a baby boy.
however i wish we could have more details, like how did they come up with a name like that, Julianna is not irish is she? Is her husbund irish?

I like the name Kieran, it’s different and unusal, but not too crazy. Not too sure about Linsday for a boy though.
I wonder how long it will take George Clooney to comment on the birth. From what I understand they remain in touch even all these years after they were on ER together.

I like the name Kieran, which means “dark prince” and given his parents coloring seems apt. Lindsay makes me think of Lindsay Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac. A comment from George on his friend’s new addition would be great!
