At home with Mark, Mason, and Melissa Joan Hart Wilkerson
Course of Nature rocker Mark Wilkerson, 30, actress Melissa Joan Hart, 31, and their son Mason Walter, 2, show off their home in the latest issue of In Touch. With their second child due in just four weeks, Melissa and Mark open up their doors to give us a sneak peek.

The sun room:
Last pregnancy, I insisted on wearing regular clothes for some stupid reason. To actually have maternity pants on is so much better!
Melissa: He’s so thoughtful. He makes breakfast for Mason every morning and lets me sleep in.
Mark: I like to cook French toast — and I make waffles for Mason.
The new baby’s room:
This is Mason’s room now, but soon he will be moving into a big boy room. He’ll be giving this room to the new baby.
The master bedroom:
It’s dark and feels like a castle. It’s great to play with Mason in here.

It is so refreshing to see someone from “young Hollywood” who has grown up there but not let it affect them adversely. Kudos to Melissa, her parents and her husband for proving that you can grow up in the industry and still be happy healthy people.

I must say, I’m a bit concerned about Melissa and Mark’s decision to move Mason into a “big boy room”. I mean, the baby is due next month, and from what I’ve heard, it is not a good idea to do things such as switch your older child to a new room or give up the crib (I am guessing that Mason will also be giving his crib to the new baby) right when they’re about to get a new sibling.
In fact, from what I have read, most experts recommend, for parents planning to switch their older child to a new room and/or “big kid” bed, moving the older child to a new room and/or new crib AT least four months before the new baby is due (I have heard the same advice being given about other major milestones, such as potty training).
I just hope that Mason won’t have any adjustment problems, and that he won’t resent the baby for “taking” his old room and crib (this is the main reason most experts cite for doing the switch to a new room and/or big kid bed at least four months before the new baby is due).

I think it’s another boy for her

yeah, i think it’s a boy too. If the baby is due in four weeks and they haven’t moved Mason into his room yet, then it seems like they won’t be changing the decor in the room. i would guess that if she were having a girl she would wanna do the room all girlie.
