Introducing Bailey DeLuca Baio
Scott Baio is 46…and Pregnant stars Scott and Renee Baio, 35, officially introduce their daughter Bailey DeLuca Baio, 3 months, in this week’s issue of In Touch.

The thought of a child arriving five weeks early by emergency c-section would be a nerve-wracking experience for any parent, but for Scott and Renee, it became another challenge to overcome in an already tough year. Scott’s father passed away on March 31st, but the couple’s grief was tempered by the news that they were expecting — and it was twins. Sadly, Renee miscarried one of the babies at 11 weeks gestation. The high-risk pregnancy that followed ended in the premature birth of Bailey DeLuca — named after Scott’s mother — on November 2nd, 2007. Thinking back on the stress of the past year, Renee reveals,
We just got word that Bailey’s totally fine. Bad times can rip you apart, but we’re lucky because it brought us all closer.
‘Us’ includes Kalyn, Renee’s 18-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, who has moved to Los Angeles to help care for her sibling. Calling her "my rock," Renee says Kalyn is enjoying her role as big sister just as much as Scott is enjoying his as father — in fact, Kalyn notes that,
Scott’s more girlie with the baby around.
As for Scott, don’t even get him started on his little girl! For someone who was initially terrified of fatherhood, he has done a complete 180 and finds himself enthralled with his daughter.
Fatherhood is wonderful. I never expected it to be so amazing andfulfilling. I was scared and fighting it, but I didn’t know I couldfeel this complete. When Bailey looks up and smiles at me, there’s noplace on the planet I’d rather be.
Bailey has Renee’s blue eyes, but everyone thinks she looks like me.

I love that first picture under the cut, with Scott and Renee’s eyes closed. Gorgeous.
It’s so funny to hear Scott gush about his little girl after watching his show every week and all his neuroses about parenthood!

I honestly don’t know how this woman married Scott Baio, and I can’t imagine what this baby is going to think if she grows up and sees his “reality” show. Hideous. All he ever did was talk about getting away from Renee and the baby, and all the changes in his life. Grow up, Scott. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Their such a cute family. Bailey looks mostly like renee, she is cute. Kalyn looks like renee too. Scott looks great for 46, he looks younger. I love their show.

I love the show and I am so glad that their baby is doing great. My daughter was born five weeks early too , so I know how scary it can be!!!

They’re so cute. I’m so proud of Scott for gushing about his daughter. It’s nice to see him acting like an adult, instead of a hormonal teenage boy.

It’ so funny how Scott did a complete 180. I watch his show and he was SOOO scared and nervous he was like a deer caught in headlights when Renee told him she was pregnant. Baby’s do change your life and there is a lot of adjusting but it is all worth it when you look in the eyes of the little life you’ve created with the person you love. CONGRATULATIONS SCOTT AND RENEE ON YOUR NEW BABY GIRL! She’s a beauty.

Lisa- If you click on the pink “premature birth” link, which goes to the orginal post about her birth, it says that Bailey weighed 5lbs, 12ozs at birth. I have no idea how much she weighs now, as I don’t think they’ve said.

I love this family! I have been a fan of the show from the very beginning and was routing for them two. They’re so cute together!
They should definetely should make more children together, Bailey is gorgeous, and it sounds like Scott is up for it.

She is a really cute baby and looks just like Scott.
I am watching the show and its great/not uncommon for him to do a complete turn around after she was born.
In a recent interview he said he broke down in the delivery room when she was born and Renee thought he was fainting lol.
She was a little over 5 lbs when she was born but she was only 5 weeks early-on the show when Scott went to Brooklyn and was talking to Renee she had said if the baby was full term she would have been over 9 lbs. So she was a pretty big baby even for being early/complications in the pregnancy. Glad everything worked out-they look happy.

Glad to see all is well and Scott finding out how fulfilling it is to have wife and baby.
Johnny needs to find a wife and baby and maybe he’ll lose his attitude about being single.
So glad Scott has moved on from that. Harve and the other friend were just great. Johnny needs to find someone to love him. Poor guy, he’ll never know until he commits.
Good job Renee and Scott. I agree Scott, Renee is the BEST thing you’ve had in your life and now you have three best things, Renee, Bailey and Kalyn.

I love how much he’s changed since becoming a father. And Bailey is a little sweetheart, and I love her crocheted hat. Too cute!
I do agree with Renee on Bailey looking like Scott. While she may have her mom’s eyes, she seems to favor him in the face and the shape of her eyes.

I had a crush on Scott Baio since I was a teenager. I am so happy to finally see Scott married to a beautiful and wonderful person, and with a lovely baby. They look so happy together. Scott, Renee and your baby is the best thing that has ever happend to you, you were fighting all your fears for years and look at your life now…. hurray for you and Renee on your new addition…live life to the fullest and enjoy yourselves each and every day.
