Originally posted February 5th: British singer Javine Hylton is expecting her first child with R&B star MC Harvey, 28, on February 18th and she wants everyone to know it. The 26-year-old has posed nude for this month’s issue of Closer Magazine and shared how she feels about her body. In the magazine, Javine states,
I feel a bit rubbish about myself — I certainly don’t feel sexy. I’m usually 10 st 7 lbs [147 pounds], but I’ve put on 3 st [42 pounds]. All I’m doing is sitting at home eating! My bum’s got really big — it has its own little personality.
My body just doesn’t look like mine. I think Harvey thinks that too. He takes the mickey out of my bum. I guess it’s hard for your partner. The body that was ‘theirs’ suddenly looks completely different, and I don’t think that they look at you in quite the same way.
I’ve just got bigger all over. When I first got pregnant, I seemed to puff up and I had a lot of water retention. Now the rest of my body has spread, though my face has stayed fairly normal.
Javine didn’t know what to expect with pregnancy nor was she aware of the mood swings she would have.
At the beginning I was really up and down. I’m so close to my sister Colette, and my mum, Paula — I see them just about every day — but I was really grumpy and we kept arguing. I’ve calmed down a lot now. I’ve reached the chilled out stage of my pregnancy. I felt so sick all the time. I was nearly throwing up three, four times a day — kind of dry retching. It didn’t stop me eating though. No way!
One thing that has the singer a little disappointed is the lack of cravings.
I was quite looking forward to sending Harvey down the garage at midnight to pick up weird snacks, but it’s not happened. I just love to eat everything really!
Javine also shared that she and Harvey do know the sex of their baby, but aren’t sharing.
We do know and we’ve bought everything for it. I just want to have it now! We both like the name Rica for boy and Sahara for a girl.
Despite being in love with each other, there are no wedding plans in the future for the pair.
No way. Certainly not right now! I don’t need to be married to be committed — what’s a bigger commitment than having a child anyway? Harvey’s more traditional than me, but I come from a family of unmarried parents so it’s not a big issue for me. Who knows? Maybe when things have calmed down a bit we’ll see. But right now, we’re just looking forward to our baby.

Oh dear. Seems like Javine is a little jealous of all the attention her boyfriend’s ex-wife has been getting lately!
Is Javine known in the States? If not, she was on a TV talent show, then had an affair with, and got pregnant by, her friend’s husband. The friend, Alesha Dixon won ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this Christmas and is really popular in the UK at the moment.
I hope for that baby’s sake that his or her Daddy has learnt a bit of loyalty and fidelity by now! Javine looks good though, I think it’s great for women to speak up about their pregnancy bodies. I just question the motives of this one!

I don’t care her reason, I think it is great. I can relate to her, unlike others that have posed nude while pregnant in that she looks like a real woman – she gained weight.

it’s great that she’s not all airbrushed like others who do similar shoots. she looks like a real woman, she’s put on weight while pregnant and still loves her new body.

I’m not a huge fan of this couple. He had an affair with Javine then left his wife and they got divorced. Now they are having a baby together I hope they have both learned to be faithful.

Take the Mickey means to tease or make fun of.
There are various forms of this: take/extract the Mick/Mickey/Michael, although the ‘take the Mickey’ version is most often used in print.
It is generally accepted that the phrase came about as rhyming slang. ‘Taking the piss’ does play its part as the rhyming slang refers to a (yet to be identified) character called Mickey Bliss. So, ‘taking the piss’ became ‘taking the Mickey Bliss’ and then just ‘taking the Mickey’.

I’ve never been pregnant and never seen a nude pregnant woman that was this far along before, and all I can say is… I’m surprised pregnant woman just don’t topple right over! This isn’t meant to be a negative comment in any way, it’s just… I bet pregnancy kills your back! Whew.

I normally admire women who have courage to show their pregnant body but not this one. Javine stole her friend Alesha’s husband – she tried to justify herself and said ‘nobody can steal someone’ but yes you can. I’m not married and I’d never go out with a married man.
Anyway, as a consequence, she put Alesha into turmoil – poor Alesha got suicidal.
Alesha, however, is strong and, with her strength and faith in life, she came back courageously – she fought back, tried hard and won people’s heart after winning Strictly Come Dancing (in the UK). She’s won enormous popularity and now the jealous Javine, seeking attention, is taking advantage of Alesha’s fame. Isn’t she inconsiderate? Didn’t she think ‘Oh, what would Alesha think if she’d seen my pregnant body – wouldn’t it hurt her even more?’ She only thinks about herself and her motive of this publicity is not a sincere one I must say.

Wow… Any one else a little shocked at the size of that woman’s hands? I mean, they fit the size of her body and all – being pregnant. But her head looks so tiny and her hands look so manly. Not the best photography if she was trying to make someone jealous.

I agree U think Javine is just trying to grab some attention & popularity with this photo shoot.
What a coincidence that a month after alesha, her boyfriends ex-wife wins strictly come dancing (known as dancing with the stars in the us)she is suddenly doing a naked photo op!!
Although I wish her baby health & happiness I dont like or admire her attention grabbing antics. I’m on team alesha

I have strong negative vibes for this couple therefore cannot find anything nice to say about this photo shoot. I hate the way that they are both constantly taunting Alesha (who’s been very classy in the face of adversity). They haven’t done anything for a while except the high profile affair to warrant any press coverage. Now everytime Alesha is doing something, you find them in this magazine or the other. I hate that on top of the pain they caused her, they are using her and her rising star as their meal ticket. I fully expect the baby photos in a little while as this seems to be the only way they are making a living.
Alesha had been with Harvey for over 7 years of which the last 18 months of those they were married. It’s barely been over a year since these 2 hooked up, the least they can do is keep a low profile for a while for Alesha’s sake. Instead they’ve been selling vile stories to anyone willing to pay ever since Alesha got on SCD as she tried to gather the pieces and get her life back on track without her so called “friend” and husband. I just wish they would go away but alas I think they will be splashing their faces on the magazines for a while yet.
Good luck with the baby, but as for the parents, I hope they get what’s coming to them!

I don’t like Javine at all. She was friends with Alesha, and had an affair with her husband, and is now pregnant by him. I feel so sorry for Alesha. She is so beautiful and a nice person, Harvey is a fool for leaving her for Javine. Javine is desperate for attention. She has no career, her attempts at being a singer have failed.
Its funny how different countries have different phrases! In Ireland we don’t say ‘taking the mickey’, we say ’slagging’

Not only did she steal her friends husband but she was also in a live-in relationship herself at the time and her boyfriend walked in on her and Harvey in bed! What a way to find out. I don’t like Javine but I do hope she stops courting publicity for the baby’s sake and just gets on with being a good mother.

I really liked javine until her antics with harvey, i cannot believe she slept with her friend aleesha’s man, you just don’t go there!
I love aleesha & am definately supporting her but still wish harvey and javine have a healthy baby. But shame on you javine!!!
