Mary-Louise Parker on books and having two children
Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker, 43, appears in the new film, The Spiderwick Chronicles, based on the popular children’s book. She sat down with People to answer a few questions about her kids — William Atticus, 4, and Caroline ‘Ash’ Aberash, 1.
William’s favorite books:
All the Henry and Mudge books, and Mr. Putter and Tabby. I feel like I spend half my money on children’s books. We have hundreds!
On making the jump to two kids:
It’s just more of everything: more love, more work, more exhaustion, more excitement.
On balancing work and motherhood:
I don’t do a lot of stuff for myself so I can spend as much time with them as possible. Maybe when they’re 15 I’ll get to go out again!
