I have boy/girl twins and although we had them together in a crib occasionally, by the time they were 15 months, they had their own rooms. The odd time we have found them asleep together in one bed (they’re 7 now) and sometimes they’ll fall asleep together now, but for the most part, they love having their own space. I think people often forget, twins are still just 2 separate kids that shared a uterus. It’s not ONE child. They have their own personalities, thoughts, and opinions. Let them do what they want. And as for Mia, maybe she had a reason for separating them. You don’t know what her story is. We had to separate ours because our daughter went through this night terror phase when she was about a year old and it used to wake her brother. As a parent, you do what works.

My cousin’s twins are boy/girl, and they were in the same room until they switched to toddler beds at age 3. But like others have mentioned, the girl often goes into the boys room and they sleep in the same bed. They’re 4 1/2 now. So Mia may have them separate now, but the girls may have their own ideas once they’re older!

My twin boys are 5 and they do the same as Lisa’s. Every morning they are in bed together.

Mia is a Carolina girl. We love houses full of the laughter of children.

I have two singletons, ages 4 and 6-going on 54. They had to share a room earlier this year because my sister and her husband stayed with us for a few months after moving back into town. Now, they won’t sleep apart. I always tuck them in together at night. If my husband tucks them in, he puts them in separate rooms. Usually around midnight, they both wake up, crying. They find each other in the hall and then go into one of the rooms and curl up in bed together. In the morning when I peak in on them, they are cuddled up together, holding on for dear life.

I think it is the cutest thing. I know that this will not go on for much longer, so I am going to let them (and me) enjoy it while it lasts.

Ithink if they had a boy in the future they should name him Ramon because it is Nomar spelled backwards and cute considering the last name. Just my thoughts.

As a mm to twins I can’t imagine having them in separate rooms, mine are now 7 and even though they have their own bed–in same room- one will crawl in with the other at night. But if this works for them great.
