Bridget Moynahan talks about pregnancy, motherhood in new video
In what is believed to be her first public comments on motherhood since giving birth to son John Edward Thomas Moynahan, 5 ½-months, actress Bridget Moynahan revealed recently that the pregnancy was by most accounts an easy one. The 36-year-old tells her good friend, fellow actor — and birth coach — Sam Harris that she experienced no morning sickness, gained little weight and that in general the process of carrying a baby "wasn’t difficult at all."
Carrying all the added emotional baggage of her break-up with professional football player Tom Brady while pregnant with his baby? That’s a different story entirely — though Bridget was hesitant to say so in as many words. When asked by Sam what was the hardest thing about being pregnant overall, Bridget paused, then laughed and said "You know what was the most difficult thing about the pregnancy!" To which Sam replied, "Bad question!"
Being a birth coach was "the most amazing experience, ever, ever" says Sam, who credited Bridget with being "pretty incredible" during the delivery. "Little John is perfection," Sam added, prompting Bridget to clarify, "and he’s not so little!" In an interview with the Boston Herald, Sam — who taped the segment in January as part of his ‘Friend Friday’ series of video blogs on YouTube — called his friend of 8 years "a mother bear."
[Bridget] has been a real trouper through all of this and her primary concern all the time is that baby…She loves that baby and will do anything to make sure that things are right for him. I admire her so much.

Monika — I was thinking the same thing. Also when she gets up and you can see her from the back, you can see how thin she looks. She’s a natural, fresh scrubbed beauty with a great laugh. Her friend Sam is really funny. Too bad we couldn’t see little John in the video

She’s a wanna be. Once that kid goes to school he’ll want his name changed to Brady. She’s not that great. The only reason we know her is because she dated Tom Brady.

Is that Sam Harris from Star Search? If I recall properly, he was a singer, not an actor, but he looks a lot like him. This shows how old I am…
Bridgett is gorgeous and seems like a really fun person and a good friend.

Aww, this was very funny and cute. It’s nice to see that Bridget has a dedicated friend in Sam. She’s handled this whole situation with so much class, IMO, and she seems like a really genuine person.

Bridget is such an amazing woman. It was great seeing her being fun & funny. It was also great “hearing” from baby John too, LOL. What a cutie! I also have to say how wonderful it was hearing about her from someone who obviously loves her. She and Sam look like good people to me. Bravo to him also, for speaking out on her behalf to the Herald.

I messed up my last post.
I love this video. I am glad Bridget has such a good friend. No wonder she moved to L.A.

This was a darling, hilarious video. It is priceless to have a true friend like Sam Harris. The latest pictures of John are a tribute to Bridget and all of her supportive friends and family. He will be a loved and well-adjusted child.

Sigh. Too bad Sam isn’t John’s bio father. Sam seems like a great mentor for Bridget and her son. Loved the video! Little John is so cuddly looking.

I find Tom and Giselle as nauseating as everyone else, but I fail to see Bridget as a victim here. I guess I am the devil’s advocate. She seems to be a fantastic mom, no doubt about it, and I am glad she has great friends for support. But I don’t think she has the right to act rejected. She made a baby with a man she was in a failing relationship with. We fail to remember that when the break-up was announced, reps for both side were clear it was MUTUAL (that means Tom didn’t leave her). Tom moved on to be with someone else (whether we like Giselle or not is irrelevent), and that is his choice. Hopefully she will move on also and find a great guy. Bridget had every right to move wherever she wanted to, but I do not see it as “classy” to move her child across the country from his father, when she knows full well Tom is committed to stay in the New England area most of the football season. I think the whole situation is sad…Tom was not ready to be a dad, Bridget *seems* to make it difficult for Tom to be part of John’s life, and poor John doesn’t know what is going on. Everybody loses. I hope both sides can grow up for the sake of this child.

I don’t know too much about her as an actress, but I’ve really come to like her.

That is adorable & as Nancy Grace would say “she is scrubbed in sunshine”.
Bridget is such a natural beauty!
I am glad she has a true friend like Sam.
Briget has handled her pregnancy & birth of her son, John w/ a lot of class.
I wish her nothing but the best.
