There’s only one phrase to describe Kim: super-duper mom!

She is amazing! I can imagine being a celebrity is tough enough, but adding children to the mix and being able to balance everything… I’m speechless. When does she find time to sleep?? She’s a wonderful encouragement to mothers who sometimes feel they are at their wits end when life gets tough.

As a mother of one girl, I’m nervous of having a boy come July. The differences in personalities and how they are wired scares me. But having read this article, it’s convinced that I’ll be okay. Thanks for the encouragement.

What a great article and great advice from Kim. I really feel for her – having to go back to work with a newborn and young child must be very rough. I feel so fortunate to live in Canada where we get a 1 year paid maternity leave with job protection. To be at home during the crucial first year with Mom is awesome for baby. (No offense to working moms – you gotta do what you gotta do). My son is 6 months old and I still don’t have to go back to work until the end of July. I keep telling myself (and no offense) Thank God I don’t live in the US or my little guy would have to be in daycare already. The US should get the same mat leave policies as Canada!!!!!!

I LOVE it! Great, true advice, and she sounds very much like a normal mom who gets frazzled like the rest of us!

I never knew much about her. But I like her wisdom!
And the advice about bringing meals to new moms is great. My own mother brought me comfort foods from my childhood after my babies were born and that was so wonderful! SO much better than another receiving blanket or bunch of flowers.

Kim is such a wonderful, down to earth, involved, hands on mom to her boys. Fabulous family!

My son is four, and I just found myself saying “This is just a phase” as I put in on a time out yesterday. It’s a great thing to keep in mind during difficult growth areas in your child’s life!

Great article! As a mom of two boys myself, I appreciate her words of wisdom. And as a mom, it’s great to see another high profile woman talking realistically about life with children and balancing work and children. I’ve always been a fan of Kim’s. After reading this, I like her even more!
