Mark Wilkerson and Melissa Joan Hart on Mason’s new room and their active baby on the way
Three more weeks until their second child arrives, and Mark Wilkerson and Melissa Joan Hart are preparing. A few weeks ago, they were still in the process of moving son Mason Walter, 2, out of his nursery to make room for the new little one, but he’s finally made the transition. Melissa, 31, tells People,
We actually moved Mason into a big boy room andleft the nursery the way it is. It’s very neutral. We made Mason a big fish [themed] room. It was hisbirthday a few weeks ago, so we got him a bed from Pottery Barn –- andmy stepmom came and put murals on the wall of fish, whales and turtles. It’s huge, and he’s got a fish tank now.
See below for a photo of Mason’s room, which our photographer Jennifer shot while at Melissa’s home for our CBB photoshoot. As for the new baby, he or she is making their presence known. Mark, 30, reveals,
[The baby's] been way more active than ourfirst son. Every day [the baby's] doing aerobics inthere.
Hmm. Melissa’s talking about the nursery being neutral, in her previous pregnancy column, she threw out a girl’s name, and now Mark insinuates that it’s another boy. So which is it? We asked Melissa earlier today, but she just laughs and says,
You’ll all find out in a few weeks!

I just want to eat Mason up! And it sounds like Melissa is really enjoying her pregnancy, I’m glad.

“[The baby's] been way more active than our first son.”
Did she let the cat out of the bag ?
When she is talking about her first son there also should be a second one
Sarah’s note: It’s Mark that said that. We asked Melissa about it, but she won’t tell, as I wrote in the article.

even the fact that melissa made the comment the nursery being neutral would make me think it’s a girl, but then mark goes and says “our first son” so that makes me think it’s a boy.

The “…than our first son” comment really makes me think boy.

Well two things make me think “boy.” The first is where they are keeping the nursery the same – I would think if it’s a girl that they’d change it up a bit, and if it’s a boy just leave it (I’m pregnant with #2, and if it’s another boy we won’t change anything, but if a girl we’re getting new bedding). The second is where Mark says “first son.” That implies there’s a second
Otherwise he probably would have said “child.” But we will see in a few weeks!!

Oh my, they are GOOOOD….at keeping us all in suspense, that is! I am so looking forward to reading her birth announcement!

I was betting on that it’s a girl, but now it seems as if though it’s a boy by evidence that they are not changing the nursery and Mark referring to “first son”. I’m sure if it was a baby girl, then they would change the nursery a bit and that Mark would say something like “first child” as Stephanie mentioned, or saying something like “the baby’s been way more active than Mason was”. I’m convinced now it’s a little baby boy. But there still is the possibility that they are trying to throw us off, by making it seem as it’s another boy.

Mark, I think ya spilled the beans there
Either way, sounds like the little one is ready to come out!

I think it’s a boy. I read an article recently where Melissa referred to “Another little Mason in there.” Sure, she could just mean a baby, but I wonder if it was a slip of the tongue?

My prediction is another little dude x

My son has the same bed and LOVES it! I bet Mason was thrilled with his birthday bedroom! He is so cute!

I really think it’s a boy, too. I think the whole “neutral nursery” thing was just to throw us off a bit. But there’s no mistaking the “our first son” comment. If they were having a girl, it would have been more like “our first child”. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. But I’m gonna guess boy

What a beautiful family. Melissa seems so normal and loving. Her husband is a hottie and their “first son” is adorable. I wish them the very best!
