"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Robert Irwin bitten by first snake, Terri Irwin says

Tags: News, Quotes

Terriandbob Unlike his big sister Bindi Sue, 9 ½ — who was first bitten by a snake at 18-months — Robert ‘Bob’ Clarence Irwin managed to make it to the ripe old age of 4 before copping ‘his first hit‘ from a baby boa constrictor. Says his mom Terri,

He picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit.  He said, ‘I hope it wasn’t venomous,’ so I assured Robert I wouldn’t actually let him play with venomous snakes.

Another thing Terri, 43, is sure to let Bob play with is the new doll created in Bindi’s likeness!  As host of the Discovery Kids Show Bindi the Jungle Girl, Bindi was recently presented with the doll and called the experience "amazing."  She added,

It’s every little girl’s dream to have an exact look-alike doll.

Bindi and Bob are Terri’s children with late husband Steve Irwin.

Haha, sounds like a cool and relaxed kid!

  2. Harley Says:

Haha, way to go munchkin :) Baby boa’s aren’t a bad bite at all. I’m not surprised he was laid back about it, he’s been raised around them just goes to show what a little trooper he is!

  3. crimpe Says:

Yay, a first snake bite! What the heck am I missing here??

  4. Mom Says:

    Way to go Robert!!

The boa is harmless. Living in his environment I’m sure there will be a few more bites!!

I’ve been bitten and it doesn’t hurt at all. :)

I’m sure Daddy Steve-o is proud of the way his kids are growing up. Little Bob is thinning out and growing tall. God bless all of them.

  6. Cindy Says:

Crimpe- The kids’ father is the late Steve Irwin, who was ALWAYS handling snakes and other assorted reptiles, hence the little ha ha. Boas are constrictor snakes, so their bites are not poisonous, just their squeezes. I am so sad Steve is dead; I love that family.

  7. crimpe Says:

C’mon Cindy, give me some credit, I am aware of the family, and of Steve’s demise. I am also up on my reptiles, what with a biologist for a husband and two sons. Guess I’m just not into celebrating snake bites for my preschooler. I think both Bob and Bindi are adorable.

  8. Cindy Says:

    Crimpe-
I wasn’t being sarcastic; I was just explaining in case you really didn’t know who he was. There are a TON of celebs mentioned here I have never heard of. I have no way of knowing what tone a person has in type, nor do I know of their knowledge at home. I’m sorry that this offended you, but really that wasn’t the intention.
