Heiress Casey Johnson, her daughter, and Joan Collins as a pseudo-grandma, what a family! lol!
For some reason it reminds me of a Dynasty/Dallas family reunion too! Joan as Dynasty’s Alexis, is ‘mother-in-law’/adopted ‘grandma’ to Casey as Dallas’ Lucy & her child? Only in the world of soap operas, and perhaps real-life apparently!

What’s the story behind this adoption and how much involvement do you think Casey has in Ava’s upbringing? I remember reports at the time making it sound very suspect.

Anyone know where Ava was adopted from? I am thinking the Ukraine, but I can’t remember. Anyway, I was just thinking that it is amazing to me how much adopted children resemble their adoptive parent(s), Maybe it’s because Ava and Casey are both fair, anyway- Ava is adorable, and who can beat Joan Collins?

Lula, Ava is her daughter just as if she’d given birth. In respect to your question about “how much involvement will she have in her upbringing” I would assume & hope she would simply be her mother, just as if she had given birth to her.

starlet, i only believe lula asked what she did about casey being involved in little ava’s upbringing because, like her dear friend paris hilton, she has led quite the heiress party girl lifestyle. i don’t think the comment was intended to belittle the fact ava wasn’t casey’s biological child… just an honest inquiry that, i too, would be curious to know the answer to. i believe i read in a vanity fair article about casey a few years back how crazy her lifestyle was and that adopting a baby would be, like, cool and etc etc… i’m sure someone could google and find the interview and pics.

Erika, from recent articles it seems that Casey had a fallout with Nicky Hilton who she chose to be her daughter’s godmother because she doesn’t believe she really cares so I would take Paris Hilton’s comment seriously. I think Casey did say she would have a full time nanny but she wouldn’t let her daughter be spoiled or even watch tv. But when her house caught fire a few months ago there wasn’t a mention of a nanny I don’t think. I’m thinking she has a part time nanny but if she does it doesn’t mean she ignores her daughter or mistreat her.

I was only curious after reading the prior posting about this. I just wondered if she has a team of nannies, being a reknowned partying socialite and close friend of the Hiltons.
I would never question nor belittle adoption.

You can read the article on Casey on vanitydair.com and go to family fueds. The girl is a waste. ala party, party, party she will end up like all the ones who were born into money but had nothing to do with making the money. another waste of a person.
