Marc Anthony’s sister is ‘ecstatic’ with the baby news
Singer Marc Anthony’s older sister, Yolanda Santa Maria, is thrilled to hear the news about her new twin niece and nephew born early this morning. After she learned of the births on Good Morning America, she told People:
I learned this morning. I’m ecstatic, I really am. I’m happy for her [Jennifer Lopez]. She’s a mom for the first time. I can just imagine the euphoria she’s going through.
When asked to comment on her brother, Marc, Yolanda said:
It’s another two blessings for him. He beat me — I have four [kids] and now he has five. I’m so happy for him. I don’t even know what to say. It’s like if I had the babies.
Yolanda is hoping to meet the newborn twins soon. She said:
I can’t wait to see them, I can’t wait to meet them. Words don’t even begin to express how happy I am for them.
The fraternal twins were born to Marc, 39, and Jennifer Lopez, 38, just after midnight early Friday in Long Island, NY.

She found out on Good Morning America? Marc didn’t call his sister to tell her? That seems really odd. Did I misread what you wrote, or are Marc and his sister not close?

Sounds like they are not really close. I mean, hearing about it on TV and hoping to see them soon sounds weird.

I thought the same thing!!! Why would she hear about it on GMA and not from her own brother???

It’s probably because they were born after midnight and then doesn’t Good Morning America come on at 7am? Maybe they ARE close and he just didn’t want to wake her!
