Mel B. says she and Stephen Belafonte will ‘definitely’ have kids
Spice Girl Melanie Brown, aka Mel B., says that married life is good for her and husband Stephen Belafonte. So good, in fact, that The couple is planning to expand their family, which already includes Melanie’s 9-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, Stephen’s 4-year-old daughter Giselle, and 10 ½-month-old daughter Angel Iris with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy. Saying that "the two most exhilarating moments" of her life were giving birth to the girls, Mel B. doesn’t hesitate when asked whether she wants more children.
Definitely. If it had been up to me, I would have had five kids by the age of 20.
Her enthusiasm is no doubt aided by her confidence in Stephen’s abilities as a father. Of Angel, Mel B. says that Stephen "is going to be her dad — her father figure, not her biological dad." The couple reside in Southern California, and Mel B. says that the atmosphere is family-friendly.
Our life is very relaxing there. We have a nice house. Phoenix is big on basketball. We hang out with ordinary people. It’s a very outdoor life. I go on hikes with my kids and my friends. We have people over, bring your kids, hang out by the pool. The sun shines every day.

I’m pretty sure Stephen also has a daughter of his own, about 4 years old maybe?
Sarah’s note: Yes, Giselle. I’ll edit the post, thanks!

Thats great!! I love blended families!! They would have one beautiful child! Does anyone know if Eddie spends any time with Angel??? I hope he does. Such a sweet little girl!
Sarah’s note: No, he has not even met her, if I remember right.

Stephen sounds a lot like my second husband. My second husband is way more of a father figure to my two boys then their bio-father. My second husband just slid quite nicely into the roll of a father with never having any children of his own. I honestly think he was born to be dad. My husband says the same thing about Brad Pitt. For some men, fatherhood comes very naturally. And with stepdads, they don’t see it as a contest with the bio-dad.

Magenta I know what you mean! Not making this a thread about Brad but he has had nieces and nephews since the mid 1990’s so he’s definitely had experience with kids for years before actually becoming a father
I love hearing about Daddy/Child relationships

Sarah, THX for responding. Thats really too bad. I know Mel B cared for Eddie and I honestly do not believe she tried to trap him in any way. I can’t believe Eddie would just totally dismiss his daughter. So sad.
