  1. Max's Mom Says:

The ergo carrier is really the best. So easy to put your child in & you do not feel the weight at all. My son is 16 months & I still use it & plan to use it for many more months.
Its a must as soon as your baby can hold their head on their own. The baby Bjorn is great for newborns but when they get heavier, the weight is not well distributed so it can hurt your shoulders.

    Sarah’s note: It’s my favorite too. ;)

  2. Bethie Says:

I love that she is always out taking John for walks! He will be an outdoor lover for sure. Too bad we don’t ever see him with his daddy.

  3. Olivia Says:

    that’s cool. they look great;)

  4. KJ Says:

she lives in a area..where the weather is perfect for walks….TURN YOUR HEAD AROUND…JOHN lol…he is big for 6 months..he is going to be a big man….

  5. Sarita Says:

Sarah and Max’s mom can you tell me if she is using the carrier correctly? In both photos John seems to be in a strange position to me. I have no experience with this carrier and am curious.

I bet the paparazzi was ticked he was standing on the wrong side of the road to get a pic of John’s face!

Sarah’s note: It’s totally correct — his weight is on his butt instead of ‘hanging’ by the crotch and having the pressure on his spine. :) The carrier is SO comfy, for both mom and baby, I can’t recommend it enough. The green part is a hood for when baby falls asleep, so their head doesn’t loll around.

  6. DL Says:

I’m curious too about the carrier… I have one but have yet to use it; John’s legs look awfully far apart in the pictures – is this really comfortable for baby?

  7. MH Says:

SO glad to see pictures of little John and Bridget surfacing again. The little guy is probably camera shy and who could blame him for not wanting to show his face to the paparazzi!! he looks adorable and very huggable from behind. look at that those hands and legs!!

  8. Lindsay Says:

I absolutely love seeing celebs using the Ergo. It is a fabulous carrier. The best I have ever used! And yes, she is using it correctly. The ideal carrier will keep baby in a seated position with his knees at or above hip level. Other carriers like the Bjorn and Snuggly have baby’s legs dangling and all of their weight being supported by their crotch and lower back. That can cause hip and spine problems.

  9. Cindy Says:

It’s always great to see Bridget, and she looks to have lost all of the baby weight now. She also looks happy & content and I’m glad. And it’s also great to see baby John and how big he’s gotten. But…couldn’t the photog have run around to the other side and got a face shot of the little cutie? LOL. About all we’ve been able to discern so far is that he has cute little ears and some hair. Thanks CBB!

  10. Coco Says:

She looks as though the shoulder straps are too long. if they were tightened up a bit, he would be pulled up a little closer and the waist band wouldn’t sag so much around him. The waist may not be pulled tight enough either.

I do think they are very comfy carriers. My son never complained and always rested easily in his. At 18 mo, and 27 lbs, I can still carry him on my back for hours without complaint. But my straps are tighter than that. That looks like it would hurt.

    Sarah’s note: That’s true!

  11. chris Says:

I have the same color ergo carrier. I just used it today and had a blast at the museum with my son. He was perfectly content in it while we took a tour.

And yeah, I wear the straps tighter than Bridget does.

  12. Hollie Says:

She needs to take him out of that thing. He looks very uncomfortable. Geez, first she cannot hold him properly and now this at only 6 months. Where are the nannies. Was this her photo op moment of the week? If so, put on some makeup, you look like a GD man for crying out loud. Face it, the paps only want shots of Tom Brady’s son, not Bridget……..so stop stealing his limelight and stop carrying for him so poorly!

  13. JK Says:

wonderful to see Bridget & John out walking. Since it looks like she started with him in the front, maybe he got too heavy there after a while & she had to switch to the back. He will be getting to be pretty heavy to carry around now. Be like walking with weights. She looks happy & fit. Stunning

  14. girliegirl Says:

Bridget looks great, and this sounds like a great carrier! I will remember it for when I have kids!

  15. goodgirl Says:

I LOVE my ergo baby carrier, I think it’s the best carrier on the market :-)

like Lindsay wrote, the legs are supposed be this far apart… it’s the best position for baby’s hips (at least a 90° angle).

  16. Danelle Says:

His legs aren’t any farther apart than if he were sitting on her hip. These type carriers are far more comfy than those others that look like baby’s in a parachute harness.

  17. KJ Says:

In the area Bridget lives…the weather is really nice this time of year..I bet John looks forward to these outings..Most babies would..getting to see things…they love it…and there is nothing wrong with the position of his legs..at that age they sit with their legs spread..and it isn’t like he has a large mom..to have to spread his legs around..she is slim..and looks great..one of the few actress’s that looks great without the makeup and hairdo..I’m sooo envious

  18. Jen Says:

She looks great and has totally lost all the baby weight. Even though you can’t see little John’s face, he looks like a real cutie. It doesn’t look like he has much hair, but that’s okay with me because I think bald babies are so cute. He also has the cutest little feet and socks. LOL to the both of them

  19. movingtoargentina.typepad.com Says:

Ergo is just one of many ssc (soft structured carriers) out there. As a matter of fact there are all kinds of great carriers that aren’t being mass marketed. But Ergo is one of the best known and is well made. thebabywearer.com is one of the best true resources for great carriers.

Also, he is by far not too big to be carrying. Briget can keep going for quite a while. I know people who are carrying their 3 years olds. However she would probably be more comfortable if she shorted the top straps.

I am still carrying my 16 month old daughter (who has been walking since 11 months) and we don’t own a stroller. We choose instead to have several different beautiful carriers – ssc, mei tai, and ring slings.

    Go Bridget!
