My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

I know that Sarah Jessica and Matthew want James to have freedom in his clothing choices, but there has to be a line somewhere. He’s five. He doesn’t need to be out walking around in his pajamas. That being said, I really get a “normal New York family” vibe from these guys; they don’t preen for the camera, they just go about their lives, and it’s nice to see.

cute. He is sporting the ‘Where’s Waldo’ look!

That dog looks like he’s had a bit too much Kibbles and Lean….
And James looks like he needs a hat and he’d be Waldo from Where’s Waldo. *L*

Exactly! He’sfive… without a care in the world, expressing himself the best way he knows how. So why can’t he walk around in his pajamas if he wants to and his parents think it’s OK? I mean they are walking the dog! Who cares!!

I think he looks cute as a button. Who cares if he’s got his jammies on? My mother is 66 years old and she parades around in her nightgown in her front yard on a busy street all the time. (And has for as long as I’ve been alive- she’s not just a crazy old lady)

Wow those were taken with a fine camera! I wish I could take pictures and have them look that clear!

Perhaps he was under the weather and his dad was just getting him out of the house for a quick little dog walk… That may explain why he is dressed in his jammies.

editorjax: I take your side! Personally, I think James always looks messy and unkempt. And I don’t think it is James “expressing himself” I feel that it is his parents’ fault. Everytime I see him, I think, my gosh, cut his hair already! What purpose does it serve to have his hair hanging down in his face all the time? It doesn’t look cute, it doesn’t look cool, it looks ridiculous.
Okay, have at it. This is just my opinion. You’re entitled to yours.

That’s a cute picture of a young boy out walking his dog. How do we know those are pyjamas? I’ve seen some strange children’s clothes, like loungewear, not quite pyjamas, but what I would call flop clothes. Besides, hasn’t anyone seen a college student stumble into an 8:30am Monday morning class wearing what looks suspiciously like pyjamas? So yeah, who cares if the boy is wearing pyjamas when walking his dog when a 19-year old does to class? Hehe.

After a few years into parenting I had to let go some of the ideas I had that I would “never do”. There are days we go out and I let my 5 year old wear her favorite pants that have a hole in the leg and her favorite sweater that is too small that actually I should take and hide from her because it’s seen better days but the clothes make her happy and I have to choose my battles, there are just more important things sometimes.

I didn’t know they had a dog…cute!
A 5 year old out in pajamas…it’s not like he’s going to school like that or even out to run errands for the day…he just stepped outside to walk the dog!!! They don’t have a yard like many of us, they have to go to the street.
My 4 year old son runs to the market with daddy to pick up donuts every Saturday morning in his pjs. I think it’s cute! When he’s 15, not so cute, but preschoolers…who cares!

Anyone who has a 5 year old can figure this one out – dad says he’s going to walk to dog, boy says “I want to come!”, dog can’t wait, dad says “put on some shoes” which boy does then boy walks dog in pajamas with dad.
