Confirmed: Lisa Marie Presley expecting third child
Update: Lisa Marie’s rep confirms to People that she is expecting, giving a fall due date for the baby’s arrival. The publicist said,
The couple is incredibly overjoyed.
However, Lisa Marie is not comfortable with the way the news got out. On her MySpace, she writes,
After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant.
Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique afew days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their preywhilst eerily howling with delight. Starting with a London publicationand then New York and Chicago all writing false defamatory degradingstories about all of the dark possible reasons I could be putting onweight.
The US tabloids have been calling all day wanting confirmation onall kinds of insane theories.They couldn’t wait to find out if my weight gain was because I was justovereating, in which case it would be open season, and they can do theold ‘following in her father’s sad and unfortunate demise’ story again.
Or less interesting for them and probably much to their dismay, I couldjust be pregnant and therefore have a legitimate reason for weight gainat which point they should probably wipe the saliva off of their fangsand put them back in their mouths or they may expose the black littlesouls that they are.
Now that things are confirmed, hopefully they can stop all of theharassment and I can stop dodging the continuous bullets.It is unfortunate that I couldn’t have announced something that is thismuch of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy underbetter circumstances.
How they have handled themselves with this has been nothing shortof irresponsible and disgusting.Pardon my seething contemptuous tone but ladies, You KNOW if you werepregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the momentas a result and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing youfor it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you wouldbe mortified as well.

Originally posted March 4th: Rumors have been swirling for a few weeks now that Lisa Marie Presley, 40, may be expecting her third child. Starting in The National Enquirer, the story has picked up steam, and today, TMZ published a larger version of the photo at left. Meanwhile, London’s The Daily Mail wonders if it may just be weight gain.
Reps for Lisa Marie have not commented; however, she’s made no secret of her wish for a child with husband Michael Lockwood, 46. She already has a daughter and a son — Riley, 18, and Benjamin, 15 — with first husband Danny Keough.

That DOES look like a baby bump. I think it would be great!!! I am sure we will hear something from her mama Priscilla soon since she is on DWTS this season which is coming up in 2 weeks. If Lisa Marie is PG, I am sure Priscilla will mention it on there.

Either she’s pregnant or that is is the most unflattering photo I’ve seen of her. Her face looks fuller too which happened to me during my pregnancies.

She looks pregnant, but I wonder when she is due. I heard late april, and recently rumor was she is 2 months, but she wouldn’t look this big if she was only 2 months. When she was on oprah months ago, my mother thought she really looked pregnant. Now with priscilla being on dwts, we might find out soon. On another note, lisa looks exactly like elvis, she is like his clone. I see no priscilla in her looks. Her daughter riley is a beauty.

There is no way that she is only three months pregnant — which in doing the math would indicate a Fall baby. I’d say she is more likely around seven months! She probably is stating this to throw off the paparazzi wolves from hounding her to death. At any rate, good for her and may God bless her family and her new little one.

CONGRATS!!!! This one excites me!!! I love Lisa Marie. I wish her recording career had done better. I really think she has talent. Fall due date??? Wow, thats a long way away actually for her to look that big. Maybe she had gained a little weight anyway. I bet her and her new husband are thrilled!!
Sarah’s note: Yes, I am wondering if maybe she’s due during the summer instead. If she’s due in Sept or Oct like they say, that would only put her at 3-4 months along now and I’m not sure about that. It is very hard to tell with the big sweatshirt though. We’ll have to wait for more pics (unless she’s mad enough to hide out in her house!)

Good for Lisa Marie!!! She is exactly ONE DAY younger than me and my entire life, I’ve been in awe of her. I think it’s fantastic that she’s pregnant and I wish her all the luck in the world!

Good for her! Why exactly, do these celeb women need to inform us all that they are pregnant? If it is so obvious to us, then why the need to harp about how they don’t tell us?
I wish her and her family well. Maybe some of these pregnant celeb crazy fans and media will back off of her.

I am overjoyed for the family, and I would believe I would react the same way if I were hounded by the media vultures and papparazzi like she is. In Lisa Marie’s case, she did not ask for it, she was an instant celebrity the moment she was born. There are other people out there who claim to be Elvis’ children, but she is the only one legitimate and known to be. An American princess, overwhelmed by the same profound and intense attention as the British royals.

Unless she has just gained non-baby weight, she is much further along than she’s saying. I am 16 weeks, due 8/21/08 and am on my 3rd pregnancy as well. I am no were near as big as that and I am not a little woman at all. But, yes, I am showing much more than I did with my 1st pregnancy before my abs got stretched to the next town!
I’d say she’s due in the summer, but she doesn’t want to be hounded. Either way, I’m very happy for her.

I find it very possible that she’s only 3-4 months along. Each woman carries differently – Nicole Kidman is 5 months along and is teeny tiny, but look at Lisa. I’m currently 7 months pregnant with my first and my belly popped out at 8 weeks. I was noticeably pregnant long before anybody told me I would start showing – by 16 weeks I looked like I was at least 6 months along, and all my weight gain has been in my belly. Thankfully, the belly growth has slowed down a bit, but after my experience with pregnancy, I tend to believe these celebrities when they announce how far along they are. Each woman and each body is different, so what happens to one pregnant body doesn’t necessarily happen to the next.

No one should have to feel they need to announce their pregnancy. When you are as famous as Lisa and other celebs, people should just use common sense.
In general, I feel bad for these pregnant celeb women now, the fact that some people need to spread rumors and gossip and then have the nerve to place a form of blame on the celebs, claiming they need to tell us all about the pregnancy is getting sad now. Yes it’s juicy gossip for some but come on! Some of these celebs are first time moms, not sure what they want to do regarding various things and even when they explain that (not that they need to) they get hounded for it.
I personally would hate to feel like I have to tell others (who have nothing to do with my life) about my personal affairs just so they knew the gossip.

Congrats to her. I heard her say in the past how she wanted another child. I like lisa overall, from what I’ve seen and heard of her with fans and on interviews. I’m sure her husband is thrilled, this is his first child at 46. Lisa was 19yrs old when priscilla had her little brother, and now her daughter riley will be the same age when the baby is born, how funny. I don’t know if she is due in the fall though, she seems kinda private so I think she might be throwing us off and due sooner like in the summer. Unless it’s twins I know priscilla’s mom had twins, and so did elvis’s mom, so both of lisa’s grandmothers had twins, so you never know. Either way congrats to them.

Congratulations to her!! But there is no way she is due early fall. I am due in the beginning of Sept with my 2nd,(showing much sooner than I did with my first) I am not even half the size she looks!! So she must be due early/mid summer. But the sweatshirt could be throwing me off. I hope to see more pictures of her bump soon!

I totally agree with Lisa Marie for the statement. I really find it disgusting how they (Media/Paparazzi) get away with such behaviour. Imagine being pregnant, hormones going crazy and already feeling a bit “blah” about your looks- then seeing a headline comparing her weight gain to her dead father-I mean really??? These people have no feelings…
Anyway, I wish her and her family the best. Hopefully this statement has got a lot of her chest, and they will back off a little (unlikely).

congratulations to her! i don’t care how far along she is. i just know that i wouldn’t want anyone specualting on my belly, especially with my second pregnancy. i swear i looked preggo after the test said positive. she is such a private person that i’m sure this must be so frustrating for her. announcing a pregnancy is something only the woman who is pregnant should be able to do, joyously, and on her own terms.

Poor Lisa (regarding all the nasty rumors, that is, not the fact that she’s pregnant)! No one should have to feel forced to announce their pregnancy.
Regarding her size and the due date her rep gave…She very well could be due in the Fall. It’s very possible that her sweatshirt is making her look bigger than she is. I mean, look at Tori Spelling, for goodness sake! In the pictures of her and Dean walking (which could be called the unofficial “confirmation pictures”, as they were released right after Tori’s rep or whoever said she was pregnant) she looked HUGE and like she was due sometime in the Spring.
However, in most of the pictures of her that have come out since then, she looks much more like the 4 going on 5 months along that she is (she has confirmed that she’s due in July).
The angle of the picture, the clothes the person is wearing, the lighting, and various other things can easily make a celeb’s baby “bump” look bigger or smaller than it actually is.

I just read in a tabloid that Lisa has an EATING DISORDER like her late father.
What is that about? She is beautiful; she’s classy, elegant, private and dignified. If she takes after anyone, it’s her Mom, who obviously raised a responsible, level-headed daughter. I haven’t seen Lisa’s daughter Riley in the taboids dancing drunk on tables,have you? (think Rumor Willis, who thinks having famous parents makes her famous and entitled).
Lisa is carrying her baby (babies) beautifully. She is happily embracing what nature intended a woman’s body to be capable of. Not every celebrity needs or wants to brag about how tiny her “bump” is, craving attention and validation that her stick figure hasn’t deserted her.
What is most sad is that Lisa’s critics seem to be OTHER WOMEN. How sad and silly that they feel it necessary to comment on the way another woman is carrying, how much weight she’s gaining, what she’s eating, etc. Why not wish her happiness and joy, instead of buying into (or just BUYING) tabloids at the grocery store?
Lisa, ignore these jealous, negative comments, and revel in your joy. Best wishes to you and your happy family!!

I am happy for Lisa. I know she is miserable right now as I carried twins, too. It is wonderful to know that she is expanding the Presleys. I hope one at least is a boy and he looks just like Elvis. Good Luck to her!
