"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

As much as I really like Julie Moran, I find it odd that she is dressing her two girls alike – even down to the bows in their hair! They are not twins and are five years apart for goodness sake. As a twin myself who was forced to dress just like my twin sister for years against my will, this really does de-individualize your children. Dress them according to their own identities, Julie! Cute girls, though, and I’m sure she is a good mother …

  2. Lyn Says:

Don’t know her name but that younger one is a dead ringer for a younger Andrea McArdle – pre ‘Annie’. LOL

  3. Allison Says:

I think it’s adorable that they are dressed alike! It’s very popular in the South. Dressing children alike does NOT “deindividualize” them as children. I’m sure she appreciates each of their personalities. Cute outfits Julie!

  4. CelebBabyLover Says:

Sheri- How do you know that dressing alike wasn’t the GIRLS choice?

  5. jillyen Says:

maybe it’s just because she’s kinda kneelin down, but her younger daughter looks older than 3 1/2

  6. Emma Says:

Well it may have been the children’s idea, but it’s probably more likely that their Mum, or another adult, that dressed them alike. Especially cause they’re going to such a public event.

I agree with Sheri, my sister and I are two years apart and our mother always dressed us alike and we hated it! People would ask if we were twins when I was brunette and her blonde and I was taller, it was crazy!

  7. gigi Says:

boy, did they luck out in the “beautiful eyes” department!! they are both gorgeous.

  8. Jane Says:

They are all very, very cute – including mom!

  9. Sarita Says:

Cute children. My sister and I were also dressed the same when we were younger. We didn’t ask for it but it didn’t harm us either. It’s just clothes and it looks cute!

  10. Jennifer Says:

Both Maiya and MaKayla are such cute little girls, and those eyes are just gorgeous!

My sister and I, who are three years apart, were often dressed alike when we were younger and didn’t often mind. I know there were a number of times that we wanted to dress alike, so I don’t mind seeing Julie’s girls in the same outfits. And they’re cute outfits, too! :-)

  11. Sheri Says:

Thank you, Emma, for your support! Unless you were forced to dress alike as a child, no one knows how humiliating this can be — my mother forced my twin sister and I to dress alike until we were 14 years old!! It was mortifying and we finally revolted after fighting her on it for many years. If it is the girls’ choice – then that is fine – but I find it hard to believe that an 8-year-old would want to dress like her little 5-year-old sister. I’m sure it was Julie’s idea. Anyway, I just hope she keeps in mind their own personalities and identities when dressing them so they won’t get teased growing up. That is all I meant to convey … you don’t know what that’s like unless you have walked in my shoes.

look, it could’ve been that the younger sister wanted to dress like the older one! Who knows?
