"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

Update: Ulrika Jonsson expecting fourth child, a son

Update: Ulrika has announced that she is expecting a son and is due at the end of May. She and Brian also recently tied the knot.

Originally posted October 30th: Swedish-born British TV star Ulrika Jonsson, 40, and her fiancé Brian Monet, 39, are expecting their first child together. She is ten weeks along and although the baby was planned, it still came as a surprise.

This was a planned pregnancy. But at my age I was pretty doubtful if it would happen – that’s why we were both in shock.

Brian was "shocked but overjoyed."

Ulrika has son Cameron Oskar George, 13, with ex-husband John Turnbull, daughter Bo Eva Coeur, 7 next month, with Markus Kempen and daughter Martha Sky Hope, 3 1/2, with ex-husband Lance Gerrard-Wright. Although this has brought about a lot of critique, Ulrika isn’t bothered that her children have different fathers,

I used to think about it a couple of years ago, but now I’m utterly at ease that is how my life has planned out.

Ulrika and Brian got engaged last month.

  1. Lilybett Says:

When I hear that someone like Ulrika is being criticised for having so many different dads for her kids it makes me crazy. I come from a similar type of family. My older sisters have two different dads, my brother and I share the same parents and my two younger brothers have a different mum. I have three new step sisters. My older sisters also have other siblings. Now, I joke about my family being complex and laugh when people say my sisters look like my brothers (even when there is no blood relationship) but they’re all my siblings and we’re all loved by our many assorted parents.

The thing is, so what if their marriages and relationships didn’t work? Does that mean none of them are entitled to search out love again or ever have children again? How stupid would that be?

I look around and I see we have a stronger and more functional family than some who only have two parents and one marriage. Some families have two parents who hate each other but are in their marriage to the death and are making their children and each other miserable. Staying together “for the children’s sake” is almost an oxymoron.

I’m married myself and hold that as sacred and understand that others do as well but I’m not going to persecute anyone who chooses to split or divorce.

Very well said Lilybett. I couldn’t agree with you more.

  3. Coeur Says:

On a personal note…can I just say I am amazed to hear of someone else with “my” name – Coeur (French for heart) – it has taken 34 years to find someone else with it…

As for the multiple fathers topic, while it does seem a tad extreme to have 4 kids by 4 men, as long as the kids are loved & the whole family works together, who are we to comment? I’m in a blended family too (being one of 4 girls, same Mom, 2 fathers) and we’re only now figuring out how it we can all work together thanks to the common goal of them loving a beautiful granddaughter.

  4. gabriella Says:

4 kids by 4 different men is quite interesting to say the least, but to each is own. Christie brinkley and melanie griffith have 3 children, by 3 different dads too.

  5. nosoupforyou Says:

Four children by four different fathers does not lead to stability in the home.

  6. Elaine Says:

I like Ulrika, and it makes me mad to hear criticism of her situation, especially when male stars in the same position don’t seem to attract the same. Rod Stewart has at least 6 children with 4 women for example. She seems very positive about life, no matter what is thrown at her, and that is a quality I admire.

  7. Eliza Says:

Well it is a weird double standard that it’s ok for men to have children with different women, but not women with different men.

    Maybe she’s a serial monogomist?!

My sister told me about someone she knows who was about to split with her husband which she had two kids with and got preggers on purpose cause she wanted 3 kids from the same Dad… they still split up and now she has her 3 kids, but the poor baby gets brought up in a broken home instead of a family unit…

  8. sarah Says:

i don’t think it’s anyones business nor place to judge anyone…they are not god. as long as the children are loved and taken care of then i dunno why people are so uptight. and for everyone to criticize her and not the fathers is ridiculous. alot of men are unstable and tend to not do their part as taking care of their children & family and leave the woman..you don’t know her situations. congrats to her and her new bundle of joy. children are blessings from god.
